That’s just stupid. He timed the block wrong is all it was. He was supposed to get there about two steps sooner than he did to block him straight on. He should have hit him lower than he did but sometimes in the heat of the game, you get caught up and forget to go lower.

Wasn’t CLOSE to a blind side. And honestly it could have been way worse. I didn’t think it was that dirty at all. The only thing dirty about it is that it’s almost an unspoken rule to let up on kickoff touchbacks.

I’m all for a blindside/crackback block, de clearing a receiver across the middle etc but cmon man. This could happen every kickoff but it doesn’t for a reason. It’s an obvious touchback. Is everyone else on the team slouching bc I didn’t see anyone else blowing up guys like this on returns? Guys like carter do this bc this is their one chance to make the highlight video.

That’s the point. Some idiots in here are acting like Carter had some vendetta against this guy and was deliberately trying to hurt him. That’s not what happened. It’s football. Sometimes bad hits happen. They have rules to try and lessen the chance of it but it’s still going to happen. Hell, I’ve seen some bad collisions in flag football. Carter should have gone lower. He didn’t.
