Ja'Marr Chase regular season stats:
70 receptions(tied for 28th)
1,457 yds (2nd)
17 TD (1st)
20.8 yds per reception (9th)

CeeDee Lamb:
50 Receptions (tied for 108th)
1,035 yds (tied for 19th)
14 TD (tied for 3rd)
20.7 yds per reception (10th)

CeeDee doesn't beat Ja'Maar in a single statistic. There should be no contest. Geaux Tigers!

Justin Jefferson has almost identical stats to CeeDee. CD would be third on our team in yards

Only way would be the draft eligible bullshite. And rewarding career #s.

I still say it's 95% locked for JC1

I’m sure they’ll cite his perfect passer rating (1/1 with a TD) as justification for giving him the receivers award.

That, or they’ll say he was a product of the system due to having a Heisman QB and so many other successful WRs around him (as if Lamb doesn’t have a Heisman candidate QB or play in a system that has produced multiple recent Heismans

Oklahoma is historically a blue blood. LSU isn't.

There is no objective way to rank Lamb above Chase otherwise.

Because he's a sophomore. These awards are popularity awards - my guess is CeeDee Lamb will win it. But Chase has obviously had the better year.

I noticed Chase only played 11 games. Even more impressive.

What was the reason for him to miss the Northwestern St game? I'm having a brain fart.

I thought CD numbers were better than that. He is the go to WR while LSU spreads it around so well. Before looking at these numbers I could make the case for CD in my mind.

But looking at the numbers, there is no way CD could get this unless you are considering past years.

Even more impressive that he did that as a part of a dynamic trio who all had big stats.

LSU is a blueblood. We have four national titles, and we’re closing in on a fifth. Plus, we have two recent ones. We have been one of the top five teams this century. And if Orgeron can keep us on top for a few more years we will be in the top three.

Chase almost has this locked up, he will win it.

No way you cannot give it to him.

Doesn't matter what class he is he is gonna win.

He has the best stats in the land at the position.

Didn't a sophomore win it last year? And with worse stats across the board than Chase this year?

LSU fans need to drop the preemptive victim mentality. Things have changed. We are badass, our players are badass, and everyone knows it.

is jerry jeudy out the running? He was mentioned as the favorite a few weeks ago.

If the two were close, statistically, I'd agree with you. But since Chase has pulled away, I don't think Lamb beats him out.

Remember, people say the same thing about the Heisman, but sometimes underclassmen just make themselves impossible to ignore. Like Manziel and Winston. I don't see how Chase can be ignored.
