It’s getting silly now. Gentry has got to be playing dumb. I can’t believe a coach can be this clueless about his players.

I've pretty much checked out this season. I was using PSVue/Hulu Live exclusively for streaming Pels/LSU football games. PSVue is dead and I just cancelled Hulu. Will use other streaming methods for the games if I'm bored enough to watch them.

Shame on Favors if he is not keeping the organization informed.

All they had to do was come out with an official statement saying he’s out indefinitely due to personal reasons and be done with it. But they keep dancing around these issues.

Favors could be talking to Griff. Gentry seems like a substitute teacher at this point

His mom's funeral was on Saturday. I'm sorry, but we can't afford for him to take more personal time. We really can't.

I feel bad for saying it but I agree. He has been on the court such a small amount so far I wonder if something else is going on.

I too feel bad saying it, and I understand missing a week or so...

But most people when their parent dies take a couple of days off of work and then go back.

Professional athletes aren't sitting behind a desk. They have a finite amount of games in a season.

While he should take time off to grieve and take care of his family...there needs to be some knowledge as to his return, especially several days after the funeral.

I feel like a dick saying it.

I can't agree to rushing a player back who just had to bury his mom. Basketball isn't that fricking important.

Yeah I hear you. It isn't that important.

Yeah, give the man 2 weeks, let him grieve where he can come back with a clear head..

On another note, Gentry said if he knows Kenrich he will try to be ready to go tomorrow, so hopefully we will be getting him back

I’m all for taking all the time you need when a life event like this occurs. But when a player is going to be out for an extended period of time for personal reasons, there needs to be a statement. They are creating a media mess by creating an illusion that the player can and will be back any day now.

Yeah I want to see him back on the court, but I'm not going to tell someone how to grieve and what's an acceptable amount of time before he needs to be back.

2 weeks? Most employers give 3 days. While I have no problem if the Pelicans grant him an extended time, but I do have a problem with them being left in the dark.

Yeah 2 weeks is a bit much. If he’s gone that long it’s more than just the loss of his mother

Depends on the employer. I've seen mine tell my coworkers to take all the time they need, but take at least 2 weeks. They still paid them while they missed the time without taking vacation hours away.

Just all depends on your boss

If your job only gives you 3 days after the death of your mother then someone needs their arse kicked. Either you or your boss
