Jordy on OTB is extremely confident that there’s no chance in hell Brady ever leaves for a similar postion at the same level.

I know we all already assumed this but it’s nice to hear from a reliable, connected source

Texas doesn't realize Joe Brady was barely out of High School the last time they were relevant.

He doesn't see the appeal, we'll pay the same as anyone else, and we are heading in the polar opposite direction than that dumpster fire.

Jordy was the one who reported a "new deal was done" weeks ago. Yet, here we are.

He was also "certain" Mitchell Robinson (former 5* basketball player from LA and eventual starter for the NY Knicks) was going to play for LSU...he didn't.

Point being, Jordy may be right. But he is prone to jump the gun with "certainties" quite often

The board isn't stupid. They realize the ONLY reason LSU Football is in the position it is today is because of Joe Brady and the fact that O went and got him.

Revenue has skyrocketed for the program this year. It would be a bad business decision to let the man walk for, regardless of the price tag, an OC position at any level. Now, if he gets a HC offer (not likely at this point) you don't really have a choice but to let him go.

The board needs to understand that paying good coordinators takes in more money than going cheap.

I actually think Brady would be stupid to leave LSU. If I were him, I would stay to be mentored by Ensminger and Ed O with the understanding that he will eventually be Ensminger's replacement and with a good chance of eventually becoming the head coach at LSU when Ed O retires probably in another 7 years. Not to mention, Brady is only 30 years old.

Why leave? LSU is one of the best places for him in college football and Coach O is one of the best head coaches to work for.

I mean, come on, the Texas job is very questionable as Herman is already on the hot season, which is why he fired Beck as his sacrificial lamb. If Herman has another season in 2020 similar to 2019, his arse is gone. Which means his coaching staff will also be gone.

If I was a young man like Brady, I'd stay to be mentored by the best of the best. As LSU under Ed O is going to be one of the most premier places in all of college football in the ensuing years.

It would simply be a bad career decision to make a lateral move

LSU will match any money or title. You already know where you stand at LSU in terms of personnel and influence.

Hard to disagree with Jordy here, assuming Brady is a logical person.

Per my previous post, the most plausible scenario for Brady leaving is for him to follow Burrow to the Bengals. Cincy has the need and the deep pockets to lure him away.

Why would Brady go to Texas anyway? Wasn't Herman an OC? Makes more sense if he is with a defensive minded coach so he can have total control.
