Per the Ole Miss AD. Under what basis, exactly? Delusion thinking causing irrational thoughts and actions. Did OM not see this coming from this guy?

Uh, what?
OM knew exactly what they were getting - a loyal soldier to fall on the grenade, get them through the sanctions and then go away.
Maybe Saban or Knute Rockne could have taken this team to 6 or 7 wins but any above-average coach was gonna have his job taken away as soon as the season was over - OM wanted a scapegoat, they got a scapegoat.

Luke was always a placeholder. Everyone knew it.

I think ole miss fans have reasonable expectations. Hugh freeze only won 10 games once, and his feet never touched the ground in Oxford.
I would surely think ole miss would enjoy an annual consistent 8+ win team and an SECW dark horse every 3-4 years
