Acorns on the ground close by?

Rifle season opened, corn = hot lead and they know it.

Your neighbors probably have a bigger corn pile. Upgrade.

We've got tons of acorns around Ruston. During the day I usually have tons of birds on my feeders for a couple of hours in the morning, and a couple in the evening. Right now I'm seeing no more than two or three birds all day long.

Either someone killed your deer or they are eating something else. Also, please improve your grammar. OP was painful to decipher.

They hitting acorns. I’ve had rice bran out for 2 weeks. In sept 50lbs maybe lasted 2 days

Acorns dropping + rifle season hunting pressure = less deer movement to feeders

I'm having the same problem. Not touching corn and haven't seen a deer. Our lease isn't seeing many either.

I am in area 4 and the deer seem to be hitting the corn way more than rice bran. I have a stand in a oak bottom and didn't have near as many acorns as last year.

mine either. of course the timber company decided to start thin cutting our property last week

Timber company was driving around spraying weeds on ours. I'm convinced it's acorns though. He have over 10k acres and everyone just had all the deer disappear from their cams. The few I've seen look super fat also.

Same for me. Last 3 weeks or so derr pics have dramatically reduced. From several day/night to every couple nights to 1 a week. Crazy

Glad I am not the only one. Was getting tons of pics and going through 200 lbs corn a week. This past week feeders barely touched and barely any pics on cameras. I went walk some bottoms on our land and found a few acorns but not a tremendous amount.

Yea there are some really big oaks and hickory on my property but I was getting steady pics and now nothing. Gonne check again this week. Even added some full draw berry into the corn to see if that helped

I'm kind of a hunting noob. Will they eat all of the acorns at some point or does it usually last the whole season?

you cant beat mother nature and her acorn crop. Gonna have to find the transitions between the thickets and the acorns to catch them

After the acorns dry up then they will come back to feeders or food plots. Only issue is with feeders sometimes it makes them even more nocturnal. If they know food is always available they just bed and eat at night.
