Did you watch the game? Saints were undisciplined AF all night. I didn’t see a single flag that shouldn’t have been thrown.
I don’t disagree with you. But apparently the other teams play mistake free football against New Orleans. And that’s not possible.

I agree. It’s awful convenient the Saints are always more penalized. My point is they need to look in the mirror. Personal accountability. Most of the penalties I saw were stupid and easily avoidable. You can’t fix the refs or force flags on the other team. You can only fix your own mess. Clean it up or lose in the wildcard. Simple as that

Saints opponents in this four game stretch have committed 21 penalties for 146 yards.
In contrast, the Saints have committed 42 penalties for 410 yards.

Poorly coached teams are not 10-2 and division champs 3 years in a row.

How many times did Matty drop back behind a patchwork OL that faced a variety of blitzes, and somehow not get a SINGLE holding call. And while some calls on us were obvious bad Apples, they took two huge returns from us on questionable shite.
Bringing up the point, the yards don’t even begin to account for the timing of penalties and the times that stripey flipped the field.
It should be very obvious to even non-Saints fans that the fix is in, and Roger has the refs on notice. Even national announcers are making note of how differently calls are being made, even Tony Dungy, who might as well have had Falcons Pom-poms last night.

These numbers are eye-opening. I would love to see the hidden yardage accounted for too. For example, the BIB on the returns is only a 10 yard penalty, but also took away another 40+ yards gained.
Id also love a stat that measures the timing/impact/momentum killer nature of penalties. A hands to the face in the 1st quarter on 1st and 10 has very little impact. That same penalty on 4th and 10 in the 4th quarter is so much more damaging. This difference is what I complain about with Bama. Their final penalty numbers don't look skewed, but it's only because they get meaningless shite called on them sporadically throughout a blowout

There was a very clear block in the back by Atlanta on the kickoff following the Saints' first TD. They had a long return that should have been called back but wasn't.
See the replay here at the 40-second mark: Saints highlights
Of course, I was also seeing obvious holds by the Atlanta OL that weren't called.

Weren't the Saints one of the least penalized teams in 2018 and are now one of the most penalized teams in 2019 with pretty much the same roster?
Saints already have more penalties against them this year than they did all of last season and there are still 4 games left to play.

Irrational Saints fans and this whole referee conspiracy theory thing in a nutshell

Yesterdays game was def undisciplined play. The Carolina game was horrible officiating. Just about the worst I’ve ever seen.

Some? How about something like 75%?

Maybe we should start considering the saints to be a very undisciplined team lol
I think both things can be true. We are committing some really bad penalties but we dont need the league to make up some to go along with it

Text book sign of a poorly coached team.
partially but not the main reason
apple tackles every guy he is supposed to cover because he is always out of position and to be honest half the penalties we got we deserved and i have no issue with.
that being said, falcons were committing more penalties then us and never got flagged so the bias/game rigging is real

Didn’t Davis get called for hands to the face? I believe he did commit the penalty while the opposing player had a hand in HIS face. Saints get the call every damn time
This is the PERFECT example of the bias. Same penalty committed at the same time but only we get called for it.
Nearly every subjective penalty has gone against us (not getting holds/hands to the face/dpi/etc called for us yet always called against us).
Yes we get the procedural calls because those are black and white and have to be called. But outside of those we got fricked and the numbers bear that out both in yards and total penalties.

The most disciplined team in the NFL every single week is whoever plays the Saints, and that doesn't happen without biased frickery.
Preach.
It ain't that we aren't committing some/most of these. It's that it's not being called both ways.
How many times does Jordan need to be horse collared on a hold to get a call? How many EXTREMELY ticky tac blocks in the back go against us while obvious ones committed by our opponents go uncalled.

Some of the calls are warranted but there’s no reason why we shouldn’t have had just 4 or 5 penalties like ATL.
There has been an uptick in hands to face called and a downtick in holding. The hands to the face shite is so ticky tacky. The other ATL fullback had Davis by the face mask. The phantom block in the backs. The complete disregard to call holding on Atlanta’s DBs or OL.
The only legit penalties were Apple’s PI’s. The rest were alll bullshite. It will return to the mean soon. I fully believe that. We will still get bullshite calls but the unforced errors will come down. It’s just a trend for these games since the bye
