Maybe post this on an Arizona St board to get more opinions.

All WE have to do is contact our senators and/or rep Scalise
to at least present a bill on either floor of congress and get a vote on it. Spread the word among family & friends to email said state reps every day.

Why do we call Washington for this though?

I would support. I hate when I get him from work it’s almost dark. I almost always have something to do outside.

My biggest fear is some genius pushing a bill to eliminate DST and we get stuck with year-round shite time. There’s no reason to do the switch and the rationale for why it started seems flimsy and certainly dated.

Your two sentences contradict one another fyi.

If either were to become permanent, it should be standard time.

We are currently in standard time. I do not want DSAvingsTime eliminated but adopted year round. No more Fall back.

Standard time year round. Better light distribution overall. If you want to use the daylight get your arse out of bed before sunrise and use it. Daylight until 8 PM or later is ridiculous. Midnight is supposed be in the middle of the dark period. Not 3 1/2 hours after the Sun goes down.

I despise this switching back and forth shite. Leave it on standard or DST, but leave it alone!

I understand what you want, just pointing out that the way you described it doesn’t make any sense.

ETA: Meaning standard time was the norm and the “switch”, the rationale you say is dated and flimsy, is actually what gave us DST to begin with.

Permanent daylight savings time. Spring forward one time and never fall back.

The rational doesn’t hold up (if it ever truly did) but it is my preferred time despite the original ( energy savings/ farm labor...etc) rationale. I see little reason to ever fall back. Adopt the more popular time and leave it

DST is an antiquated tradition.

I'm in favor of permanently stopping it at a federal level. I haven't met a single American that disagrees.

But let Trump suggest doing away with it, and watch the liberals on CNN and MS13NBC suddenly find 3,000 reasons why we still need it

Adjusting clocks twice a year should be illegal.

It’s popular because stupid people don’t realize the days would still be longer even without the spring forward. For a big part of the Summer the sun still wouldn’t set until almost 8:00. If you need more daylight than that just wake up earlier.

My fall and winter daylight morning hours are spent getting kids and myself ready and to school. Those daylight hours are spoken and accounted for. I have little to no ability to shift those parts of my schedule. Not to mention power tools etc are generally frowned upon before 8am

It will be exactly the same way if you switch to DST, except your few minutes of winter sunlight will be in evening traffic, rather than morning.

How are people so stupid not to realize this?

I agree and always laugh when I see people state this absurdity. DST should only be b/t Memorial Day and Labor Day. Standard time was always fine let's just go back to it.

I like it the way it is. It's only unlikable the first couple weeks after fall back. Then it's good

Why are we allowing Congress to dictate this upon us? Some obscure part of the Commerce Clause? Time was created by God.Congress is going to try to legislate God? Frick them. The majority of the citizens of Louisiana should have a vote on which one we want, vote, and let that be the end of it.If a congress critter from massachusetts wants to visit our beautiful state he can set his on damn watch. States' Rights. Go Tigers!

Would like to get rid of daylight savings time. We really don't need it today.
