Now you can be as vigorous to support O as you were in criticizing him. That’s you penance.

To be fair, getting Burrow was probably the single best thing to happen to LSU in years, maybe longer.
I have and do give tons if credit to O... but Burrow is something else man. Incredible.

We have higher goals, but here's something pretty cool in the meantime. Once we roast some hog Saturday we will have officially won the SEC West regardless of the A&M outcome and punched our ticket to the SECCG. First time since 2011.

At worst O was a risky hire, however there weren't many better options at the time. I wanted Herman, and I stand by that. He looked more promising at the time than O. But I won't say I was disappointed with the hire. I just hoped he'd do well, and he has, and I'm happy for him.

It’s ok. We knew you were a moron with little or no football knowledge.

And Troy was a pretty damn good team. And well coached to boot. But let’s not talk about that anymore lol

We’re talking about the hiring of O here.
I never bashed his being hired.
I was of the opinion that he had to get a chance to prove himself.
What I said was that it was “possible” that we could lose 1 or all 3 of those based on the performance of the defense.
I was wrong, and I’m happy as a sissy in a weeny factory that I was wrong...

ED THE UNIFIER
He reconciled the entire fan base after years of discord.
Who would have thunk it ?
Time to reflect on the meaning of this.

I think that what the last two hires, Coach O and Will Wade, have shown is that you need a hungry coach who is highly motivated and not just in it for the money. Coach O wanted to be a part of Louisiana again, prove he could be a head coach again and wipe out the memory of the Ole Miss years. He has given us his strengths, motivation and recruiting, while deferring his ego for his coordinators.
Coach Wade was a young coach who had a lot to prove. He was different because he hadn't played his sport in college. He brought a knowledge of all the new techniques and using stats to analyze his team and their play. We won't get into the controversy but he has also brought in good recruits. He has proven to be a tireless worker who won't accept mediocrity for himself or his teams. His gameday prowness is under fire but he manages to get his team through adversity and finds a way to win.
Both hires have proved that in these times, you don't need the proven older coach who may be riding on his past success and not be hungry anymore. Just because someone doesn't know your name or you haven't had success in the past, doesn't mean you can't still be the right hire in the right place.

I thought O was a bad hire. I hated it. I talked a lot of shite about the Man and the hire. He is doing a helluva job and I’m proud of Coach O and LSU.
Well, instead of talking shite like you know something and then having to apologize for it later, why don't you just give people a chance before passing judgement? It's quite a simple thing to do.

Speak for yourself. I couldn't have pinpointed what success was to be had, but anything was better than Miles still running the show.

Does that mean you've learned your lesson?

Brady saved Coach O's career. That being said, Coach O brought in Brady so props to him for making the right moves.

Now to properly flagellate yourself:
Admit that talking “a lot of shite about the Man and the hire” could not serve anything positive for LSU Football. And that it’s only possible influences would be to dissuade potential recruits to LSU, or inflate your bullshite opinion of your opinions. Both of these are negatives.
