*at the time of the game the teams were top 10.

Will that be a record?

And if you leave out Aub and Texas, they will still have 5. Either way a huge accomplishment!

Yea, nobody gives a shite that they beat an average Texas team that happened to be ridiculously overrated

Bro no one fricking cares what teams were rated in September and October.

If LSU wins out they will have at least 2, maybe 3, top 10 wins based off rankings at the end of the season, when they actually count.

Winning out will be a tall order with the way the defense plays at times.

What matters is at the end of the year rankings not some bs pre-season rankings or ones heavily biased by said preseason ranking.

It was stupid then and stupid now.

LSU has two wins to date over teams with 2 or less losses. That’s the stat that matters.

They have 3 wins against teams with 3 or less losses. Again, pretty damn good.

Let’s stop trying to blow smoke up our own asses to try and make this team more than what it is. Right now it is the second best LSU team of the decade with a chance to move into the best team in a decade in these last five or so weeks.

I think Miami in the 1980s was the last team to beat 4 AP Top 10 teams (at the time of the game) in a single season.

Battle tested for sure. If OU doesn’t make the playoffs I’m pulling for the Tigahs. So in other words, I’m pulling for the Tigahs.

You mean if LSU wins out, they will have beaten 7 of the Top 10 in the final rankings?

They will have beaten Alabama (yes) Ohio State?, Georgia? Oregon? Notre Dame? Clemson? Utah? Oklahoma? Penn State

No one gives a shite where someone was ranked week 2.

That's all just speculation and folderol. Week 2 team often ends up unranked.

So how many unranked opponents will LSU have beaten come January 2nd?

In 2012 No. 21 Stanford had a Top 2 win over USC; USC finished 7-6.

Not Top 10 but Top 2...to an eventual 7-6 team.

What are the current records of those 7 Top 10 wins?

That's all that matters...how they panned out vs. expectation polling.
