Shelvin

He has been much better than expected and came into it weathering severe criticism. Whereas some others were lauded as the next Lawerence Taylor/Reggie White/etc.

Cheers big man!

There are a couple of bright spots. Marcel Brooks and Flott have been pleasant surprises.

Brooks was highly recruited. He isn’t nearly the surprise Flott has been.

But I agree, Shelvin is the mvp of the defense so far.

Flott with some weight gain will be great going forward.

Brooks is just a freak athlete. If he wanted to play safety he would be awesome.

Shelvin played well. Vincent played well. Stingley played well. Flott had his best game.

Delpit played poorly. Lawrence and Logan were ok but couldn't make any plays down the line. Linebackers were destroyed.

Our LBs aren't good enough to play 3 man fronts, IMO. They can't shed blocks at all. So, lineman at the 2nd level are a huge problem.

Shelvin is a full-grown man-boss.

Shelvin is a man. Queen is good. Stingley’s name was hardly called.

Queen ran himself right out of several plays, including two of JRPs long TD runs. He has to do a better job of getting off blocks and filling the hole at the point of attack

Everyone on this defense has flashed talent and ability at one point in the season. Individually, they are all capable. You have to play as a team. You have to play with The Want.

Jacoby Stevens is actually our best defensive player, and I don't think it's close at all either.

No. He was in later in the game when we made a few stops.
