Some misses is recruiting has created depth and experience problems on D. Especially in the secondary.

I still think that we are better with Vincent at FS; Delpit in the box; Stevens in the F spot or a rover type spot; Flott at one outside corner; Stingley at outside corner; and Fulton in the slot because he has more experience.

We ran out of players last year against aTm. Should've never lost that game.

BINGO!

morons here who have no clue WTF they are watching keep using that urban myth as an excuse

think all this has to do more with our defense being gassed in the 2nd half of games because if how many possessions they have to be on the field. The spread game is tiresome.

all debunked. did you see the posession stats earlier posted? debunking your claim? did we have a drive that killed us like that texas drive? ole miss scored quick and we had more TOP than them

GTFO with your excuses.

Lol Ole Miss scored in 2 plays after halftime.

Recruiting mistakes with the Surtain issue and Joseph transferring has been hurting us.

Too many true freshman at cb and some misses on evaluation or player development or player problems or injuries at safety.
Lack of development from Monroe and Cam Lewis.

It just is what it is for now.
The past recruiting class plus this current recruiting class should help/fix a lot of woes.

The coaching staff has known that the defense needs more players and better players that is why this recruiting class is heavy on the defensive side of the ball as it should be.

Two reasons. Anke is still lingering and NFL $ is on his mind

Same for our defense. LSU has plenty of talent, certainly more than Ole Miss. Talent has never been LSU’s problem. It all starts and ends with coaching in football.

That's simply untrue. It's absolutely about Jimmys and Joes in CFB. Kevin Steele is coaching an elite defense at Auburn, but he sucked in his one year here. How do you think that happened?

The only person who should have been gassed is Plumlee. He scored so quickly on our defense that it looked like a revolving door out there.

We had lots of Miles apologists blaming talent for our lousy offensive performance. It wasn’t talent, it was coaching, as we now see.

Eh it was both. Do you really think the offense would be putting up 58 with JJ, Harris or Jennings?

I'm calling bullshite. 614 yards come on man, the spread offense is not the reason the lose containment. Did you see Chaisson crash down on one the many times Plumlee made them is bitch. He took the fake so hard he looked like a track star. I don't know what to think honestly the talent is there but God they are awful at gap control and taking angles to the runners in space.

His defense here was 25th, habout the same as ours last year.

W have more than enough talent to keep OM from gaining 600 yards.

Look at the main issues yesterday and you will plainly see the Dis were awful.

I would guess you meant the DBs & if so you are wrong. Stingley & Fulton played solid. Vincent had his best game of the season & Flott is emerging as a legit, lockdown corner himself. He's gaining confidence each passing week.

The only one who looked bad was Delpit but it's obvious his ankle is bothering him in terms cutting & changing direction. When your game is based on speed, angles & leverage like Delpit's is, a hindrance in changing directions sticks out. It really showed on his inability to make the open field tackle late against the Ole Miss receiver.

Everyone wants to say well he should sit if he isn't healthy. If he sits, he will get bashed like Fournette by saying he is protecting his draft stock & he doesn't care about the team. He's being a team leader & trying to play through it yet he's still getting bashed. Plus, Delpit understands his assignments better than whoever is behind him so the staff probably feels better with an experienced yet gimpy Delpit over his inexperienced backup. Too many posters here are narrow minded & can't see the entire forest for the trees.

No reason for them to be gassed coming out of halftime and give up scores that fast. Late in the 3rd and into the 4th, yes, but not coming out of halftime.
