I'm thinking of trying it out for the first time tomorrow before a show at House of Blues. I know it's not walking distance from HoB but I've been wanting to try it. I would consider something else closer so I could walk to HoB (Peche, Herbsaint, etc).

I love Marjie's. Give it a shot.
If you see something on the menu that you think to yourself "Man that's interesting but I would never order that..."
Order that.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the city. The food is creative, fun and flawlessly executed.
My only complaint is it's far from where I live.

I went for lunch today. Its simply outstanding.
Cracklins with citrus spice
Curried chicken and collards gumbo
Smoked lamb neck, som tam, and bbq greens
Its traditional southern food filtered through a SE Asian lens. Or maybe vice versa.

Marjie's and Luvi have the best Instagrams for restaurants in Nola IMO (and happen to be my current favorite restaurants).

To each his own, I guess, but I highly disagree.
Food is also just better at Marjie’s and Luvi than turkey and the wolf

Definitely but it's worth it. Get a drink and relax while you anticipate the greatness that will eventually be set in front of you.

Today's photo is of a bowl of bbq goat noodles. There's also a photo encouraging folks to vote for JBE.

Would this have any effect on your dining experience?

Better than Cowbells opening statement on their website.

Liberal transplants are so tiresomely goofy. I think I'm going there tonight, though.
