Anybody notice how pumped Stephen Sullivan was after the game?

I know everyone was super excited but he stuck out the most to me after the game. It told me a lot about his character. I really think he could have transferred and put up good numbers for most schools. I would not have blamed him one bit if he did transfer because of the ridiculous talent ahead of him. But he stayed with the team and always seems genuinely happy even though his snaps are limited.

I really could see him being drafted if he has decent speed but I don’t really know his good his hands are with his limited snaps. Hopefully he gets a chance in the NFL and sticks. He seems like the perfect type of big WR/TE project Sean Payton loves to work with.

Ditto.. also, I’ve seen where he’s projected in the 3rd or fourth round.

I was a little surprised that Sullivan played few if any snaps vs. Bama.

At least it seemed like it.

Sullivan wouldn’t have played last year if the WR substations weren’t screwed up. He’s a really good kid but LSU fans constantly trying to make him a thing are weird.

He even started 8 games his sophomore year but is struggling to get reps his senior year with the most prolific passing offense LSU has seen.

I just really like his potential. I didn’t say he was a superstar sitting on the bench.

He'll get drafted and show out like Foster Moreau is this year. Or any of a number of LSU players who didn't flash while they were here, due to any number of factors. Not sure how this is making him a thing.

Lester,I’ve been on this board for 11 years. You’ve posted about LSU sports this entire time.

And you’ve always been exceedingly stupid. I mean, it’s like you try to be dumb as dirt.

What gives?

If you've been on this board 11 years then you should've figured Lester out by now. He's a contrarian to the point of accepting the completely incorrect position simply to go against the grain. He needs the attention more than anything else.

At first, I thought y'all were overly harsh on him. But after reading his posts, I get it. He is either trolling 24/7, or the dude is legit special.

So he was our 2nd leading receiver last year because of bad substitutions? Got it.

Moreau didn’t put up big numbers or used often but got a contract in the NFL.
Sullivan has a chance to do the same. It’s all about potential and given the chance. What makes you think Sullivan isn’t as good as some of us think he can be? I’m legit asking. He is stuck behind 3 All-American type talents at WR and Moss is a legit NFL prospect at TE. Sullivan just started learning about the TE position so he seems to be pretty versatile.
Is it his hands, speed, route running or another skill that he lacks that has you so down on him?

You think those 244,000 posts give it away?

His hands from what I witnessed have been more than adequete if not really good , what impressed me with him thru out his career is his jump ball skills and the match up issues he would cause with shorter linebackers and Dbs covering him , I think the issue has nothing to do with his skull level , it has more to do with the direction with the offense ,he's a bigger receiver that is slower and it takes him longer to run his Longer to get to his spots ,he was moved to TE but I believe his blocking may have been what's held him back , Thadeous Moss must be the better blocker and route runner and his skill apparently better equiped for the offense , plus the kid has always played wide receiver for a long time at least high school and im sure it ain't as easy as we think to make the transition but I think his game is more suited for the NFL game , if he works hard I think he would be a damn good pass catching tight end in an offense like the saints etc, hell at one point he was the receiver coming into the season with the most catches , like 2 years ago before jefferson burst onto the scene ,I might be wrong on that but seems like I remember reading that , of coarse it's a different animal now and they have elite Wide outs and more comming in , it's gonna be a dog fight for the too 4 or 5 wideiut spots in the near future

Where is he this year with the same players?

Every one of them passed him up and they are all younger. You think they just got better then him this year lol?

They even moved positions and he still can’t get on the field, put 2 & 2 together

Foster Moreau tested as 90th percentile athlete.

Team captain.

Started 32 games.

He was under used. He didn’t not play because other players passed him up. And he is an insane athlete for his size.

They are not the same.
