The whole touch screen is bs. That is not safe. What is so wrong with buttons? I remember the days where I could operate my temperature, station and sound level without looking. And if I needed to call back somebody I flip my razor open and press send twice.

Team No Buttons here!

My buddies 2018 Manual GT has it

The new 911 doesn’t have it.

What do I win?

I stand corrected. That's a new addition starting with that model year, then.

ETA: Ehh, I'm not so sure. I can find the feature explicitly in the 2019 F-150 manual, but not in the Mustang manual. The Mustang does have an auto engine stop, but it's to shut the engine down after long idles, not at red lights.

I'm undecided on auto wipers. For the most part they do a good job, but sometimes they come on out of nowhere.
My car never picks it up when it's that very light, misty rain. So annoying.

You want to just dump all those dirty carbon emissions while you’re just sitting there? Take a small inconvenience so maybe we can extend the life of this planet.

My brand new WRX doesn't have any of the crap OP complained about.

Turning off the engine at a stoplight is a deal-breaker for me. I'm surprised a Mustang GT does that, and glad I bought the WRX instead.

hell yes! how you gonna rev it up to intimidate the punk next to you and challenge him to a race for pinks if the engine quits?

Or just, you know, actually move forward when the light turns green. How fast do you think starting an engine is? How fast will be fast enough? How fast will the process be after 100,000 miles?

Would you rather buy gas or a starter?

I don't have to deal with any of that, because I am a winner at the game of life who can actually afford all the 93 octane I want and more.

I'm actually really excited that we're starting to get to viable electric cars instead of the Volt, Prius, Leaf, etc. shitboxes.

If battery tech (capacitors/supercapacitors?) would just make a few more gains to bring the overall weight down, the idea of an electric performance vehicle with instant and flat torque curves and the ease of implementing AWD in a car with motors at each corner makes my dick hard.

I'm glad they make your di...I mean I agree!

But yea, some of the benefits are so obvious, i just think the masses, as a whole, don't really realize it.

Plus, I could run over my enemies from behind and they'd never hear me coming.

Well, it’s MANDATORY on all new vehicles.... you don’t exactly have a choice. A lot of people find it extremely annoying and want to remove it.

Idle Stop-Start is not required by law. But as time goes on, more and more auto makers are incorporating this feature into new models to improve their overall Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) numbers.
