yeah, I get that. My point is, it seems Zachary is gonna get squeezed by development from both north and south.
Actually, my point was I wish they'd leave all that beautiful pastureland for the cows, but I know that aint gonna happen.

Zachary schools had an emergency meeting and had to drain 17M from rainy day funds. They have only a few million left. Next year will be interesting for the schools there.
This just isn't true.
With population growth and larger tax base, Zachary School Officials Lower Property Taxes

I do not know the backstory on the house but he was mad that he built his house a long a main highway and it got developed around him. It seems like it improved his property value though. He could probably sell his place as commercial/office use for a nice price now.

That Copper Mill community looks pretty insulated, but outside that there is way too much inventory, but it’s a great risk/reward setup depending on your timeline.
In the last decade CM has had way higher price fluctuations than the rest of the city. That probably has more to do with the fact that you can buy a house there for just under 300k in the level section or pay close to 7 figures for the estate lot houses.

Guy got mad that the traffic circle was built where it was. I want to say the Americana devs (Enquist) offered more than appraised value and he turned it down. On top of all of that I don't think anyone is actually living there now.

Per local rumor mill, he was offered about $300K for the house and property but wanted 2-3 times that.
So they built around him.
So they built around him.

The rumor mill I have is friend / coworker who talked to Suzi Geautreau, who is a realtor and the sheriff’s wife.
The plans for the expansion of that particular highway were apparently on the books before he ever built, so he should have known better than to build there to begin with.

From years past, yes. There were houses for sell in nearby neighborhoods that were on the market for a few months before mine and were still on the market several months afterwards. I can’t statistically say for sure that the market has cooled, but from an anecdotal perspective it appears that way.

My bad, misunderstood your intent. I hate to see the land get developed, as well. But it is nice to see the parish trend in a positive direction
