Does it though? Carports look a lot better than garages on some lots

Call me poor but I’d take garage front side back etc over none.

Can’t tell you how many times I went to get groceries and the skies opened up pouring rain on the way home. Nice to pull in and not get soaking wet

Completely dependent on what kind of carport.
I plan on putting something in like this (with a lesser pitch) in the next couple years because we have a side entry garage that is used for my woodworking.

Any carport is more poor than any garage, regardless of facing direction.
It would go:
1. 3+ car garage side or rear
2. 3+ car garage front
3. 2 car garage side or rear
4. 2 car garage front
5. 1 car garage side or rear
6. 1 car garage front
7. 3+ car carport side or rear (do these exist??)
8. 3+ car front carport (not sure these exist either)
9. 2 car carport side or rear
10. 2 car carport front
11. 1 car carport side or rear
12. 1 car carport front
13. concrete or asphalt driveway only
14. non concrete or asphalt driveway only

just recently went through the process of selecting and buying a house

most houses with carports were way cheaper than garages, even front facing garages

My parents have a carport similar to that.

They live in the middle of 50 acres so don’t need to shut up their vehicles in a garage

What if your house doesn’t even have off street parking ?

Front facing garages are trashy AF.

Since when? I think garages look better than open carports.

Furthermore, houses with garages look better with no cars in the driveway with the cars in the garage and closed.

We have 3 cars so one sits outside the garage.
Trashy AF.
Hate being poor.
Lost will to live.

Driveway with no carport because you made your carport a bonus room. Gotta love those 3/1s with a bonus room and no covered parking

I will not buy a house if this has been done to it. Unless a new garage is built and attached to the main house making it look like it has been there all along. My uncle remodeled his house and you could never tell the bonus room was his old garage.

I kinda like a carport. They're easier to keep clean.

Historians say this was the unanswered question that caused the United States to enter WWI.

How many feet? Who’s the make?

These are important questions.

I have a garage but a carport doesn't sound all that bad. Very easy to clean and don't have to worry about the garage door breaking.
