Vindman's Motivation

Was discussing Vindman's testimony with a few friends and whether or not he violated the UCMJ (particularly Article 134, Section 2-b if you're interested) when one of them who is now up at the puzzle palace pointed out something interesting.
Yorktown Solutions: Original FARA Filing
Yorktown Solutions is a lobbying firm that represents some questionable Ukrainian arms companies and the Ukrainian Oil and Gas industry, interested in undermining the Nordstream 2 Project. Kiev Post
Daniel Vajdich is listed as the registered agent for the lobbying firm Yorktown Solutions. He just so happens to be a member of the Atlantic Council. The same Atlantic Council Burisma donates heavily to and welcomed Volker, now a Senior Advisor, after he resigned. (Which opens a whole other can of worms regarding his meeting with Burisma board members at the Atlantic Council Event.)
I digress... it gets really interesting when we look at Yorktown's Supplemental filings:
Yorktown: Supplemental FARA Filing
On what appears to be their first day of U.S. operations, Vindman received his first email from Yorktown, he then met with them in March, and is listed as corresponding with Yorktown Solutions through email every few weeks since. Important to note, March of 2019 is also when Lutsenko began making allegations against Biden per WAPO's timeline.
As I understand it, the next round of filings will not be until this December. It'd be interesting to know if the communication between Yorktown and Vindman increases over that time frame. Now, is it feasible that a Lobbyist group working for arms companies in the Ukraine would meet with someone on the National Security Council? Sure! What is suspicious though is the motive that can be inferred based on the group's meetings with "Never Trump" journalists.
For example: On May 8th, they had a meeting with Paul Sonne from the Washington Post. Three days later, his article is published: Trump's Interest in Stirring Ukraine Investigation Sows Confusion in Kiev. Mind you, this is three months before the President's call and nearly six months prior to the whistleblower.
Something about the whole thing just seems a bit too... convenient.

The hiring comes after muckraking investigations into corruption and illegal arms trading at Ukroboronprom. In Ukrinmash’s case, Amnesty International published a report alleging that the company had illegally supplied small arms and mortars to South Sudan, which is under a U.N. embargo.

His motivation, like most in Washington, is undying loyalty and devotion to the establishment and D.C. institutions. Anyone who is a threat must be removed and if that means lying and making shite up so be it

Define "norms"
Because as far as I am concerned, "norms" in Washington is what is causing this country to circle the drain and is what leads to out of control corruption and destruction.

While we're discussing wrecking norms. It's not normal for uniformed personnel to undermine the CIC publicly. The fact that he has ignored the President's order and testified "publicly" albeit behind closed doors, was what we were discussing as a possible violation of UCMJ.
Either he is seriously convinced that he's doing the right thing or he has very powerful people promising him protection.

Vindman is a Ukrainian American.

I'd like to know what is so special about the Ukraine that soooooo many people are sooooo involved and wanting to wet their beaks. I've been there once. It's a crappy country, flat farmland . Kiev is OK...it's old. The corruption is off the charts from what I can remember. I mean they have deposits of natural gas, but it's not all that.....they rank about 28-30 in reserves.......I guess the skim is so much easier there? Or maybe they are priming the place for NATO membership eventually.....and you wonder why Russia gets antagonistic towards the West?

For frick's sake, their per capita GDP is less than $3K/year!

I have enjoyed much of the norm wrecking. That doesn't mean you aren't called to account from time to time.
My favorite was the Israeli embassy move. Nothing but hand-wringing and predictions of doom and talking about breaches of protocol and historical norms etc. So then Trump just moves it to Jerusalem...and what? Nothing, that's what. Let's move on to the next hand wringing crisis!

New witness identified. New testimony harmful to Trump. Trumpers jump through hoops using 5 degrees of separation creating conspiracy theories to attack the decorated serviceman who testified.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

This would be plausible if we DIDNT ALREADY HAVE THE TRANSCRIPT.

I just LOVE it when liberals fall all over themselves to defend someone with any affiliation to the US Armed Services when it suits their needs. Almost as if you've never heard of the storied Blue Falcon...caw caw.
Otherwise you think we're too stupid for college or heavily protest any recruitment efforts on college campuses. Or when we do serve, we're shitbag baby killers.
Funny how Flynn was never extended the same courtesy.

And I just LOVE that every career military or intelligence officer who comes out against trump is de facto swamp trash to y’all lol

This July 10 meeting with Oleksandr Danylyuk seems to be the part of Vindman’s testimony that has ruffled feathers. There is no transcript of that meeting that has been made public.
But it is interesting to note that other attendees were:
Bolton
Volker
Sondland
Perry
And the debrief of that meeting is where Vindman notes Sondland pushing the necessity for the investigation into Biden/Burisma.

Fixed that for you.
First off, no currently serving officer is going on national television and talking bad about the Commander in Chief regardless of who it is while risking their career. Little thing called the Uniform Code of Military Justice has some say-so about that.
These retired/former officers are a minority of the total officers that separate from the service and more than likely are benefiting from the government teat as their civilian counterparts. For instance, a lot of these guys that get buddy-buddy with contractors and how they get cushy positions in many of these companies who continue the military industrial complex.
If you honestly think there aren't any self-serving individuals who are serving or have served, I have some swampland to sell you.
