Which had what to do with Russia?

It's no secret that Schoen is owned by Pinchuk. If the impetus for him investigating it was that the president had received foreign money before his presidency from a UKRAINIAN, it seems way out of the scope of the SC.

For reference, here's a LIST of speakers at the 2017 YES conference. Some very familiar names there: Gates, Kerry, Gingrich, Krugman, and Volker.

It’s a problem. Your hand waiving aside.
I would bar dual nationals from service, that would at least mitigate the most serious issues.

Something about the whole thing just seems a bit too... convenient.
There is a really simple explanation for this.. the whistleblower was right

quote:Did you read the article? Giuliani was already reaching out to start an investigation into the Bidens and the DNC server. Rudy was very loud about it and people and businesses in the Ukraine were reaching out to US officials to ask how they should deal with Rudy, including Zelensky.
For example: On May 8th, they had a meeting with Paul Sonne from the Washington Post. Three days later, his article is published: Trump's Interest in Stirring Ukraine Investigation Sows Confusion in Kiev. Mind you, this is three months before the President's call and nearly six months prior to the whistleblower.
Your article is part of the evidence against Trump.

Anyone who is a threat must be removed and if that means lying and making shite up so be it
What has he lied about? He was on the call. He reported what he heard (which is part of his duties and responsibilities). Now we want to make him out to be some type of criminal because we don't like what he said. Way to go America.

This would be plausible if we DIDNT ALREADY HAVE THE TRANSCRIPT.
Whistleblower complaint alleges that Ukraine officials were "led to believe that a [future] meeting or phone call between" Trump and Zelensky would depend on Zelensky's willingness to "play ball"
The phrase "depends on" mean that the phone call or meeting was contingent upon Ukraine being willing to "play ball".
P.s the [future] note is my own because I know certain people here can barely read.
Why would anyone expect to see a quid pro quo in a call or meeting that was allegedly part of the quid pro quo?

The right thing for Vindman, or any actively serving officer to do in this situation, is to stay completely out of what is clearly a partisan political battle. That’s how a commissioned officer maintains his proper non-political role.
Negative. He took an oath when he was commissioned as an Officer and every time he was promoted, and not to the POTUS, but to his boss the American people.

play ball
1. In baseball, a phrase traditionally said or shouted by the umpire to start the game.
It always takes me back to summertime as a kid when I hear an umpire shout "play ball!"
2. To cooperate with someone; to do what someone wants or says.
If you play ball, we'll be able to reduce your sentence from eight years to just two.
Just play ball and do what they say, and nobody will get hurt!

I would bar them from seeking public office, the civil service, and the officer Corp.

Executive—Carries out laws (president, vice president, Cabinet, most federal agencies)

And what exactly did Trump mean by this? Specifically.

I read that as Trump telling him that.

Yes but I'm not sure how you drew that conclusion. The article is from March, before Zelensky was elected. Giuliani was reaching out to Ukrainian officials, not companies. Yorktown does not represent any Ukrainian officials, that they disclose at least.
