The Saints did NOT give up two 1st rd picks. They made a trade with Green Bay moving up from No. 27 to No. 14 overall. To complete the deal, New Orleans gave up a 5rd rd pick in 2018 and their 1st rd pick in 2019.
FYI - Davenport ranks 2nd on the defense with 3 sacks and he is tied for 1st with 12 QB pressures/hits

If you trade Teddy then Taysom Hill is relegated to clipboard duty only. As the primary backup, Hill won’t play any other position that risks injury.

I'd love to hear how exactly you've come to your determination that he's a bust. Are you basing it on sacks, qb hurries, qb hits, tfl, what? The guy is very disruptive and has 3 sacks and 21 total tackles. Premier pass rusher J.J. Watt has 4 sacks and 33 total tackles. In terms of sacks, he's ahead of Cameron Wake, Michael Bennett and Gerald McCoy. I'm not sure of what Davenport's snap count is, but I'm willing to bet it's significantly less than that of Watt's especially considering the way we rotate our D line. Besides, we have seen some pretty slippery QBs this season. Russell Wilson, D Watson, Kyler Murray, Gardner Minshew and even Dak when he's needed. Even Cam couldn't always corral some of those guys, watched him miss at least 3 sacks so far this season. Sure he can do a better job at setting the edge at times, but my point is how can you argue that in terms of value to production ratio?
