Cajun, german, French, Irish.

Like most Cajuns, I'm generally a shirt off of my back type of guy, until I'm crossed. Then it's bad blood for life.

I'm german, highly technical, a fairly strong work ethic... But I've been known to take things a bit far.

French, half the family came directly from France. We're uppity gourmands with zero sense of self preservation when things get bad. Much like our Cajun cousins, we can watch the world burn as long as we have good alcohol/tobacco.

Irish, I'm not sure if it's this blood or the other, but I'm quite fond of the brown liquor.

I saw one of your mother's donkey shows. She's definitely a horse of a woman.

German, French and Irish here.

On some weekends, I'll surrender to myself and binge drink beer.

As a Slavic-Austro-Uzbek-Peruvian-Inuit, yes, I personify my heritage in every way possible.

I'm mostly German.

I've been known to goosestep around the house and invade my neighbor's homes from time to time.

Depending on when and where your family first came to America, it is nearly a certainty.

In the Deep South, outside of Louisiana, almost anyone whose grandparents were born in their respective state are likely to be of heavy British extraction. Most probably Border Reavers (Scots-Irish), Highlander Scots, and Wessex cavaliers.

Yeah, I have traced my ancestry, most of my family ties go back to England but there are certainly some to Scotland or Northern Ireland (which was settled by Scots).

I have noticed certain patterns when it comes to the Europeans in the South, seems like people on the east coast are often completely English or occasionally random recent immigrants, then you get west and they are a mix of English and Scottish. Of course southern Louisiana is French (I think maybe parts of Mississippi too). Maybe Spaniards in Florida and Louisiana here and there. But Texas is a hodge podge. It was settled by Germans, Czechs, Spaniards/Mexicans, and to a lesser extent people from other countries came as well, Danish, Dutch, Austrian (my family is all of these), plus other groups like Irish, Polish, Belgians, etc.

Also seems like people in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and especially Texas and Oklahoma have more Indian blood than the other southern states.

As you can see I have really thought this through lol...
