I was watching Episode 11 this morning which was about KU's bye week so they talked about recruiting a lot. At around the 6 min mark, some young recruiting analyst was watching LSU-Texas film while talking about doing evaluations. I initially thought maybe they were looking to poach some potential transferee. But I think Miles was training his staff to look at guys from certain high schools and compare to the type of player they became at the next level.

Then shortly after, they mentioned Miles himself was coming down to New Orleans for the (last) weekend. So obviously he's kept his recruiting channels open down here. I don't think he will be an immediate threat for the guys we want, but you never know after a few years. I thought that episode was interesting.

It'll be really hard to pull top kids out of Louisiana to go to Kansas. He wouldn't just be going against in-state LSU, but also Saban, Jimbo, etc.

He has no hope of pulling kids we want out of here, it's Kansas

Miles will be installing Brady ball next spring. Will have Brady as guest lecturer.

Miles won't out recruit LSU for top level Louisiana players but if he can snag a few of eh next level players away from th emid level conference teaams he could still do well here. I hope he does and I have a want fror him to bring Kansas to a new level of success.

He will be able to get the kids that don’t have LSU offers but are still good athletes for Kansas.

Luv me sum Les Miles’s, but hopefully he stays in KU or that neck of the country. We don’t want Miles coaching in states adjacent to Louisiana. Anyone who isn’t concerned about his ability to recruit in Louisiana, not being at LSU is an idiot.

We already have to fight Saban tooth and nail for our own kids, adding Miles to that would be a difficult tandem to beat year in year out on the recruiting trails. Miles might be old school set in his coaching ways, but the man can close on recruits simple as that

I was confused by that scene too. The recruiting coordinator had LSU-Texas plays running on his screen. I thought maybe it was a yellow HS team playing at Texas, but nope it was definitely LSU-Texas.

The recruit he was going to see was Ashaad Clayton. Brought Tony Hull down with him.
