I know we need to beat Bama this year but...

...there is a serious argument that a win in the game makes things considerably more difficult for us. We would have to face either Georgia or Florida in the SEC championship game, and most certainly would have a rematch with a pissed off Bama in the playoff.
And if we lost, I just don't see that barring us from the playoff. Texas dropped 3 spots when we beat them earlier in the year. Florida dropped only 2. If we're ranked 2nd going into that game and lost, we would probably drop to #5 and be the highest ranked 1-loss team. Still very much in the hunt.
The bama game is just lose-lose for us.

Do you think Bama worries about facing a pissed off LSU? Of course not. They expect championships. Hopefully our players have more nuts than their fans.

I don’t think LSU is scared at all to play Florida again, and Georgia looks mediocre. We would pummel them like last year.

Have to win out because the rest of the unbeaten teams don’t play anyone. Their conferences suck.

Definitely true of Clemson and their pathetic schedule. Good news is “an Ohio State“ and Wisconsin are on different sides of the conference and they play in the reg season.so the loser will likely get a rematch.

It pisses me off to no end that Bama always gets the benefit of the doubt. But it's a much better scenario for LSU to beat them, and not have to hope that their resume gets them into the playoffs.
Now, if LSU goes 12-0 but loses the SECCG, and Bama gets selected to the playoffs over LSU, I'm pretty sure I'd start boycotting college football.

Moot since we’re beating that arse but we’re not getting in at 11-1 without some supreme luck. OU ain’t losing, Clemson ain’t losing, Bama’s not losing in the hypothetical where they beat us. We need to win out. Luckily we will.

Perhaps in some math geek never put on a jock strap world where wins mean nothing and player confidence has zero impact in wins and losses.
But not in the real world. Keep winning keep that confidence. The staff and players believe the O can score when we need to win a game. They BELIEVE.
A loss? Doubt creeps in. These are 18-22 year old kids. Confidence and belief play a huge role in winning.
