Florida allowed Joe Burrow to complete 87.5% of his passes (to put it in perspective, the Gators have not allowed a completion percentage that high in recorded history, and only five times over the last 11 years, have they allowed greater than 70%) and the 12.2 yards per attempt were the most they’ve allowed in a game since Georgia in 2017 (14.4).

Burrow has sustained elite play every game for half a season. He’s torched one of the best secondaries in college football. He’s got a stronger arm and quicker release that Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa. We’ve never seen a quarterback with a higher passing grade through the first seven weeks of the season. He may not be at the top of boards right now, but he’s shooting his way up there.

Burrow is at 79.6% completion percentage on the season. I bet there’s a good chance he’s over 80% after the game against shite arse Mississippi State.

Hard work pays off. Kudos to the O-Line, the RBs, the WRs, the TEs, the QBs and the coaching staff. This is one of the most impressive offenses I've ever had the privilege of watching.

It was as close to a perfect offensive game from not only Burrow, but the whole offensive unit, that we'll probably ever going to see against a top-level D.

Tiger fans take care of the drinking for him. It's a real team effort.

You should also note:

quote:

The 511 yards is the most the Gators have given up since the 2015 season where they allowed East Carolina to have 536 yards in the Birmingham Bowl.

The Gators did not have a sack for the first time in 18 games or cause a turnover for the first time in 10 games.

In short, it was as dominant an offensive performance by LSU in a long, long time when one considers the caliber of defense AND LSU's efficiency. They rolled up that many yards on 45 plays! (taking out the 3 kneel downs). The ONLY thing that kept LSU from scoring 50+ is they just didn't have enough plays to do so. Even just a slightly better defensive performance and this could have been a 30 point victory

Too bad defense didn't give him more opportunities.

Amazing! I wish Burrow would get drafted by the Saints, but not much chance of that.

If we can’t beat Bama this year with this GOAT offense and QB, I’ll be damned if we can ever beat them again.

This HAS to be our year!

This is how I feel. Unfortunately, you always have to beat Bama and the refs. And if you happen to beat them the first time, the NCAA will find a way to make you beat them twice!!!

I don't understand how most draft boards have a good 4-6 QB's not named Tua going ahead of him.
