During the Ohio State game in 1987 Tiger stadium was so loud that the refs kept threatening to give the "fans" a delay of game penalty, As I remember it a certain amount of us would then yell even louder, but there was a certain contingent that got quieter.
We need to rock the stadium Sat night, the refs can't call that penalty anymore!

would love to see it, I think if we made everyone check their iPhones at the gate our chances increase

this doesn't happen in 2019.

They might have to bring it back just for SNiDV.
Like, a ceremonial penalty. No yards.
Just throw it right after a TV timeout to tip the cap to the staidum and get them going again.

I was in the Superdome a few times in the 90s when this happened.

Yeah I was going to say, Saints fans have been penalized for that in the past. They just got louder instead .

Yeah it was crazy. One game in particular I remember was against the Lions, because Barry Sanders was one of my favorite players growing up so it stands out more than others.

I just imagine them throwing a flag and announcing "There is no foul on the play, but damn yall are loud as shite. Carry on."

I remember a Saints-Cowboys game back in the old Tulane Stadium days. After a bad ref call (some things never change). Fans yelled and stomped their feet in the steel stands so loud the game was delayed for what seemed like 30 minutes.

I think this will be the most rowdy crowd since Bama 2010.

And that crowd was pretty rowdy, although they were leaving before the comeback.

I was thinking about this while watching the game on Sunday. I can remember watching on TV and seeing the qb just stand there sort of looking at the ref and gesturing that he couldnt hear. They would hold the game up because of this. Havent seen it since so I guess they stopped that nonsense.

Didn't that game end in a 10-10 tie?

I remember this. Who was it against? I remember the qb pretending he couldn't hear. Worst rule in NFL history.

I was at that game and don't remember this happening, all I remember was a disappointing tie game at the end.
