LSU's offense ripped thru the Texas defense like a knife thru hot butter. Yes Florida has a better d-line but overall, Texas had a lot of very good athletes on defense. I think Sam Ehlinger is far better than Florida's QB. Texas had a better receiving core than Florida. With that said, why is everyone thinking this will be a nail biter for LSU?

Personally, I'd take Texas on a neutral field...

Yikes! Hell yes, Florida's defense is in another universe from Texas.

Fla much better Defense
Tx much better Offense

The transitive property does not apply to college football. As much as we would all like it to.

Defense is quite a bit better than Texas. LSU fans are going to be melting the scoreboard off the server at half time.

This will be a football game, it won't be decided until the fourth quarter. I expect LSU to pull away if we don't have turnovers or allow many negative plays. But we will need a good team effort.

Yes. They're a top tier SEC team with a strong defense

Florida may have the best defense we play all year. It will be a great test for our offense. As far as if they're overall better than Texas? Hard to tell atm who would win in a game.

Texas has a decent front 7 but secondaries aren’t even comparable. Florida way better.

Florida has a good defense but people are really overhyping it imo. Auburn ran a putrid offense and even then it was mental mistakes which cost them the game. They laugh at our schedule but if you’re vaulting their defense into the top tier bc of Kentucky and Miami then you need to look at those teams a bit closer lol.

I think we beat them handily.

I don't think Florida is better than Texas, but they are a tougher match up because their DL is their strength and our OL is our weakness. Texas has a good OL so I think they could out score Florida. If our OL plays well, I think that we will blow them out. If our OL sucks, I think our defense and home field will keep it close enough for us to pull it out in the 4th.

It's been strong so far TBH. At least in the passing game. Run blocking is suspect. We may have to go full hurry up pass mode to move the ball on them.

Points all well taken. So then, If Florida played Texas, what would the expected outcome be?

I don't think that you understand the transitive property. It sounded good though.
