One group thinks Fla has LSU's number, the other thinks Aub's defense is too much for LSU

There's a group of fans that agree with BR's radio sports jock Moscona that Fla's offensive head coach Dan Mullen and DC Todd Grantham have LSU's number and will continue to. There's another that agrees with former NFL and LSU QB Rohan Davey, that Aub's defense is similar to Clemson's championship-caliber defense, that Aub's defense plays much different than LSU's and appears too tough for LSU's offense to overcome. To quote Rohan who has watched both this season, "the two secondaries look and play totally different."

All I'll say is this, they're all assuming this one thing, that there's actually a college defense out there that can slow down or stop Joe Burrow and Brady's offense, assumption is the mother of all screwups!

I’m more worried about Aub

Dan is a hell of an offensive coach but that dude can’t keep up with burrow and Brady

If you think that we're not going to be in a game where we're fighting tooth and nail to win, then you're in for a rude awakening. Every team has a close call along the way.

LSU averages around 55 ppg.

So "slow down" the offense to 45 points or so? Maybe. But I wouldn't bet all my lunch money on that.

I think our offense can handle either teams defense. The tale of the tape will be our defense and how it performs

I said it before and I’ll say it again.
Fla, Aubie and Bama
Probably drop 2 of these, possibly all 3.

The defense hasn't proved itself as being truly dominant and that has many to give these predictions. These predictions are understandable.
This Utah State game is very important from a defensive standpoint. We need to dominate like a top 5-6 team should. This is the source of all doubters. Need some defensive mo going into the Fla game.

How can anyone say they have our number when we just transformed into a completely different team?

Neither is necessarily wrong. No defense has pressured LSU'S offense. Florida's defensive front and Auburn's defensive front will. We can say the ball is coming out of Burrow's hand a lot quicker, but that isn't always the case. He's held the ball for a long time at points. Vandy pressured him and rocked him a few times. Florida and Auburn will get to him. Just a question of whether it's too often.

It’s hard to say because we really haven’t played anyone with a stout defense yet. Our passing game is obviously 1000% improved no doubt. But dare I say a team with a very strong pass rush and strong secondary can slow it down some, at least.

It could go either way with the (3) ringed circus of AU FL LSU. I wouldn't be surpised to see a round robin loss from each team over another. It pisses me off that Bama will get to waltz into the W Div championship again.

Be assured..
Coaches in the SEC are in this league for the money but also the competition. They WANT to go against the best. To prove that THEY are the best.
LSU will have at least 3 games in the reg season where they will have to have clutch offensive play calling and execution ALONG WITH stellar defensive play calling and execution, the likes of which we haven’t yet witnessed this season.
Luckily, I believe that Dave Aranda and company have been very smart so far to not show the big things they’re working on in practices this season. I think he will have a few surprises for each of the 3 teams that appear to have a defense that could cause a bit of a defensive-battle of a game.
Lastly, I believe that the main reason for the missed tackles that have made our defense look worse than they really are/have been playing is lack of excitement because I think the Texas game was really good until the second half when they got tired.

So for the big games I expect the opponent to have a few ways to slow our offense down a bit, but obviously not completely.. and for our defense to play to their potential.
(That was long lol gotta little carried away)

I must be one of the few that’s concerned about Utah. I have all next week to worry about Florida
