Two things wrong in that picture:
1) mustard is obviously missing
2) you put the hot dog on a diagonal so you get bread in every bite

Dude I had this kind of “hot dogs” all the time during the summer as a kid. I stayed at my grandpas house while mom worked. Gramps wasn’t about to buy buns when there was perfectly good bread. He also boiled them. Good times but I didn’t know any better.

Mustard instead of ketchup and I’d be ok. Better off with some relish and chopped onions, then cheese and chili.

Only way they were better was when the parents would let us have a wienie roast and burn the shite out of 'em on an open fire. But, we always only had white bread. And would diagonal them across it!

By time I was age 22 (consider college) most of the hot dogs I’d ever eaten were just like this.
