Enjoying it so far. Got Zelda:BotW, Jedi Outcast (not sure this controls very well on handhold though) and Don’t Starve.

How much more money would it really have cost if they allowed us to dock the switch light?

That's my biggest beef with it.

Eh, if it cost any more, I wouldn’t have gotten it

That's my biggest gripe about it and why I won't pick it up. It makes no sense to have it not be playable on a TV.

if you wanted to dock it, why not just get the regular switch?

You can't really call it a "Switch" if it's not able to be docked. That defeats the purpose of the name of the system.

The Switch Lite has a smaller form factor and a d-pad. For those who don't care about a lack of HD rumble or detachable joycons, the Switch Lite would be the superior product unless you have to have that extra screensize.

The Switch Lite is meant to replace the 3DS, they kept the Switch name because it sells like hot cakes

I mean, how does adding the ability to dock the system conflict with anything you said?

It's been disassembled and determined that the video hardware that's responsible for the switching video output has been removed.

You didn't think you would save $100 just because they took a big plastic USB hub out of the box and bolted-on the controls, did you?

3DS platform is dying a slow death and this is Nintendo getting portable-only 3DS users into the fold.

Among the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, DS, and 3DS, there was never once an official ability to connect the portable system to a television, and they always could have easily added this by spending a little bit more on the console's internal hardware. It was not a problem then, why is it a problem now? The $300 Switch does what you want, buy that one

Pretty sure the 3ds couldn’t run a lot of games the Wii U did.

The switch light should be able to run pretty much anything unless there are control issues. Which may be an issue

I hear the Lite is still having the joycon drift issue the main unit has. But now you can't send in for just a new joycon.

Interested to see how they address this.

I am thinking about getting a switch lite. I played BOTW on Wii U & it was the GOAT.

Yeah I don't care about the rumbles. The Switch lite says you can buy joycons. I breifly looked at reviews and playing BOTW on lite has issues with shooting the bow.

So your bow works well?

The bow is fine. It’s not easy but it works It’s not perfect but it works well enough. Almost killed the 1st rock monster entirely with the bow. I do use the bow still.

There's an option to take the bow off motion sensing.

That shite pissed me off.
