So it should be a realistic expectation that with all the extra reps, our defense should improve dramatically as the season progresses.

Tigerpride18, I mentioned this earlier in the year and warned people not to panic.
It's common sense if you think about it.
The problems can come when we don't score and have the chorus line possession (one and two and three and kick).
We'll be fine.
The only problem I see with our D right now is we haven't been creating enough turnovers.
We could be getting more pressure on the QB but I think that is due to injuries more than anything else

You haven’t looked at the numbers. Opponents are getting on average, six more possessions a game

Our defense has been on the field for exactly the same number of plays as Auburn's defense, 272 plays. Bama's defense has played 267 snaps. Stop blaming the offense. The problem is missed tackles and blown assignments.....(eta) and injuries.

People just don't take the "intensity" factor into consideration. Here's the best example:

Think back to Alabama vs.The Citadel last year. It was 10-10 at the half. There was no bigger "upset" last year than the halftime score of that game. Compare that to Alabama's focus on D when they played us two weeks earlier.

Georgias great d would have given up 12 instead of 6 if they scored as fast as we did. Georgia's score would go up as well

bullshite, we have seen LSU defense on the field more than half of games before perform better.

It's simple.

Piss poor tackle.

Piss poor effort missing assignments

Injuries

LSU’s average snaps per game now vs. past 5 years:

Defense:
2019: 68
2018: 70
2017: 62
2016: 66
2015: 67
2014: 65

Actually it's not overthinking, it's a display of your inability to recognize that you're trying to rationalize with the rant.

It's a place full of ignorance with a significant portion of the user base having ADD with an attention span of 2 seconds.
