Happy Sunday, Who Dats & Who Datettes and welcome back to the Saints Game Thread
Unfortunately, starting today, we get a sample taste of what it'll be like when the world no longer provides us Drew Brees under center of our favorite football team with Brees out for ~6 weeks with his thumb injury suffered early in the game last week against the Rams.
It's been confirmed already this morning that Teddy Bridgewater will get the start today for the Saints, but with Taysom Hill on the roster, fully expect a 2 QB system to be employed during Brees's absence. Plus, with Sean Payton having a full week to accept the fact that his BFF is out for a while, he might get crazy, and a crazy CSP is fun for everyone (except Saints opponents)
LET'S STUN THE WORLD AND COME BACK HOME WITH A WIN AND A 2-1 RECORD!!!!
As if losing Drew wasn't bad enough for the Saints offense, Keith Kirkwood went on injured reserve this week, and I believe I heard it's the season ending variety, for an injury suffered during warm-ups last week prior to the game in L.A. Meanwhile, Tre'Quan Smith is also out of today's game with an ankle injury suffered on the Saints biggest offensive play of the game last week. Austin Carr, Deonte Harris, & Lil'Jordan Humphrey will have to take up the slack of those 2 missing receivers. Sheldon Rankins is still down with his achilles injury, but hopefully he should be able to return soon.
The Seahawks will probably be without OG Ethan Pocic (LSU?) with a neck injury and CB Neiko Thorpe with a bum hammy. S Tedric Thompson (hammy), CB Trey Flowers (ankle), & RB Rashaad Penny (hammy) are all questionable to play today with Flowers being the only 1 who didn't practice at least on a limited basis on Friday.
Weather:It's Seattle... so of course there's rain. Fortunately, the Google meteorologists say the rain should move out before kickoff and the temperatures during the game should be in the mid-60s and trending downward as the game moves on
Uniforms: After planning to wear them last week and being told late they couldn't, the Saints will bust out their Color Rush uniforms today
Current Standings:
NFC South
Bucs 1-1
Falcons 1-1
Saints 1-1
Panthers 0-2
NFC West
Rams 2-0
49ers 2-0
Seahawks 2-0
Cardinals 0-1-1

How will the officials screw us this week?
Posted on 9/22/19 at 10:30 am to rt3
Think we win this game. Too many riding Seattle's dick, Saints are going to make a statement.

Agreed. Like OP said. An unpredictable Payton is dangerous. I bet we see some wrinkles today to help get us an edge we lost with Drew.

I have a good feeling about this game. Idk why, just a gut feeling.
We’ve seen back up QB’s come in the dome too often & murder us, it’s our time now!

You think that having a mobile QB that has some zip on the ball and can actually throw it further is going to be a bad thing?

no
no longer having an undisputed, sure fire hall of famer under center is a bad thing

Historically teams that play the Steelers are poor ATS the next week so that's a good omen for Saints bettors...,personally I think we win SU with Teddy. Seattle narrowly win against the Bungholes, 21-20 & 28-26 against Shitsburg. Teddy is better than both of those QB's with more elite weapons at WR, TE, RB, and on the OL...,just need the defense to play respectable.
