I'm not ready to blame Aranda yet.

He's not the one missing tackles or missing coverage assignments.

But it is his job to coach and correct it.

Some constructive criticism is warranted.

He didn’t call a bad game. We just don’t do anything in particular very well, which falls on him. Playcalling is fine though

I didn't like the game plan vs Texas

I like the changes this week

We need to tackle and get healthy

Agree... Good post.

We need to get healthy and tackle better.

I get that, but his schemes have been shite. Giving too much cushion on WRs and LBs are very soft in coverage. I hope he gets back to man to man in SEC play

The tackling is one of the biggest things. I’m sick of trying to punch the ball out every time and not tackling first

It was better this game

Tackling was an issue.

We weren't bad but we weren't consistent

I liked our Dline getting to the QB, I liked Jacoby Stevens at safety. I like how the secondary performed in man coverage. I liked the scheme. Just didn’t like the tackling.

This is pretty accurate. There have been plenty of times where we were in position to make a play and didn't. Ultimately yeah, that's his job, but I don't think we're falling behind scheme wise.

100% agree. Fundamentals aside, we missed Lawrence, Logan, and Chaisson today... big time. I’m hoping Aranda is playing chess and figuring things out.

The injuries & suspensions have really effected the chemistry on the defensive side of the ball. Think about this, the defense is yet to play a complete 4 quarters with all of the starters. With Harris already out for the season & a injury clouding Divinity's availability, we may never see them all for a full game this season.

This. At times there isn't enough fire & energy in the defensive players. They sleep walk at times & it costs them a few drives every game. They need to drive it every snap & on every drive.

It feels like Aranda is playing it safe at times to protect some of the inexperienced players filling in for starters because he knows the offense will put up plenty of points.

It’s hard to be dominant when your front can’t win 1 on 1 battles. This causes a domino effect that permeates throughout the defense and handcuffs our DC.

They really need someone to step into a leadership role on the D.

this is the same scheme that produced good LSU defenses.
the word you're looking for is "gameplans".
