Doesn’t matter. Slater is basically a pro MMA fighter as well as a jock in general, and Zach hung with him so it counts as a win. After this, nobody was stepping to Zach.

Think they both wanted to asked Joanna to prom.
Zack might have had the first blow, but Slater won the fight. Used a wrestling move to get him to the ground and got a shot in before Belding intervened.

Just like Slater putting his entire weight into that push and Zack didn't hesitate and started swinging.
Like someone said, Slater is the champion wrestler, so him getting an advantage (albeit small) on the ground is a given. But Zack even took Slater's punch in stride and wrapped him up. That's why I give the edge to Zack, even if only slightly.
And yeah, they were fighting over Joanna.
And the hottest girl ever on the show was Danielle from USC. I had some pics of her from the show in my old Photobucket account, but I don't think that works anymore.
