Maybe stealing a couple picks by dropping lb'ers (post snap from showing blitz) into the slants. They love to throw that rpo slant to jeudy.

Not sure about this.

I’m looking forward to seeing Stingley on Jeudy or Waddle. He’ll have gained some meaningful experience by the time we get to Nov. 9

Take chances on D and try to get a couple turnovers. I’d rather take a shot and give up a big play than let them wear us down and keep our offense off the field.

I agree with this. If our defense doesn’t improve and we can effectively move the ball on them with our offense, I’d say do one of two things. Either make every attempt possible to cause turnovers or just all out blitz the hell out of them. If we get burned we get burned. If neither of these teams defenses get better, this game could be decided by one turnover.

Like coach O said, we will see how teams gameplan to defend us after the tape is out. If there is anything we all know, Saban will be the best to figure it out before we play. I’m anxious to see the adjustments we make when teams start switching it up on us.

Another advantage that LSU has is FG kicker. York has been money so far except the PAT that was missed. Alabama FG kicker has been struggling. If it is a shootout, a last second FG will be huge.

I don't care how many points they score so long as we score at least 1 more!

My hope is that the throbbing vein in Saban’s forehead finally explodes when SE finally scores his first points on Alabama’s defense

It's going to be so crazy watching an LSU Bama game where the winner will have to score at least in the 40s

Well, this board was full retard trying to compare our current defense to the 2011 one before season started

Might end up solid but even mentioning comparisons to that defense before the season started was silly. Right now it doesn't have an identity and lucky for them, they have plenty of time to sort it out before they play a tough game.

The biggest weakness right now is the defensive line. Same story this year. No pressure. I'm not sold Chaisson is the answer either. He reminds me of another Danielle Hunter. Hyped up but never lives up to it until he gets to the NFL.

Wrong. Statistically both teams are damn near equal on offense. Their higher yards per carry is because of a long WR carry for a TD.

As of right now Bama and LSU look damn near identical on both sides of the ball.

What will be the difference is if LSU can improve defensively when everybody gets back in the starting lineup. Honestly, I don't think Bama's defense will get a whole lot better while I think LSU's will. If we can get Emery and TDP on the field and up to speed I think we can out pace Bama something like 38-31.

it's hard for us lsu fans to get used to but we are going to have to learn to be happy with a 45 -24 win as opposed to 31-10. and in the big close games it might be 45-42.

People don't seem to understand this. The rules are limiting defenses now and the offenses are getting faster, more creative, and easier to learn. Look at the NFL and all these high scoring teams. Lamar Jackson is now doing the same stuff in the NFL that he did in college, same with Pat Mahomes and Kyler Murray (he just needs to get into the endzone).

NFL coaches said Hunter was never taught well here and the scheme didn't fit to make him a sack machine. I love Aranda's defense usually, but not one guy has stood out as a sack machine in it. Arden Key's 2015 season with Steele is the last time we've had a legit pass rusher. I also believe we just don't have those type of guys that can get after the QB like that.

Three out of four posts are saying this same thing. I think people understand it.

Chaisson posted good stats against Texas, and that was while being held like crazy. He also got a sack in game one that was erased by penalty. I think he’s looking damn strong. It’s the rest of the line that does nothing.
