LSU Experience

Hello all,
I have always been a big LSU fan but I have never had the pleasure of going to a home game. I am from Indiana, and this year my wife got tickets for me to the Florida game. My question is, what are some things that I absolutely need to experience while I am in Baton Rouge before the game? I am so excited to finally get to be there for a home game! I hope this season just gets better and the Tigers can make it to the playoffs. Thank you in advance!

LOL, will do. After what I saw last night from Florida, there will be plenty of gator eating.

Watch the team and band come down the hill in north endzone area.- usually few hours before kickoff. They post a schedule on game weeks usually with times. Also Mikes habitat is there’s too and it’s really cool to see. Have fun and be personable.

Get out early to tailgate. Walk around campus and take in the experience.
Refer to the schedule to see what time the band and team come down the hill.
Enjoy your first beer in Tiger Stadium, like the rest of are enjoying this year.

Wear out of state colors to set yourself apart. Folks will invite you into their tailgate.

Check out Mike in his habitat by the north side of the stadium. Go inside the stadium an hour before the game so you can see all the videos and songs played and how the crowd reacts. Try to see if you can find a group to tailgate with for a couple of hours.

Grab a po-boy at The Chimes. Walk from there, down to North end of the stadium to Mike's habitat. You're welcome to come to our tailgate in that area. Catch the band coming down the hill, into the stadium. Get in the stadium about 45 minutes before kickoff to soak in the whole pre-game experience.

What part of Indiana are you from?

Don’t expect to find any corn dogs at the concession stands or tailgates. That is a joke that has no basis in truth whatsoever.

Hello fellow Hoosier! Lucky you that you get to go to the game. My teenage son is a huge Tiger fan but we have yet to make it to Death Valley hopefully next year. We’re taking him to Vandy this weekend though to the game.

Break a few Gator flags off their cars and get your piss balloons ready. Then you'll be like us.

This is a very good idea. Where an Indiana shirt. People will ask you about it, and you’ll be treated great.
