I don't know if it's still the case but part of the State Police website our HR used for background checks worked with ONLY IE 10. Not 9, not 11. 10. The version that was so batshit fricking bad Microsoft made the downloader for it harder to find than the one for 9.

People whose computers are running slow and they expect me to be able to diagnose the reason and have it fixed with a handful of keystrokes within 5 minutes of sitting down.
This isn't a TV show, there are no computer "faith healers".

Non-user replaceable batteries. Why the hell do I need to take the screen off of a phone to replace a battery?

Only way out of that is to migrate to other cabinets and shut down that equipment imo. Trying to comb through comb through connections in that is about impossible

Situations like that make me glad I get to bill people by the day. People don't like paying our prices for me to unfrick wiring

Wifi that's strong enough to maintain a connection, but not strong enough to transmit actual data. When I work in the yard I gotta turn my phone's wifi off.

That's on your device, not the router

I don’t understand why the Office desktop apps do not have an autosave function or at least a better recovery mode

I don't see these as very different. The data is coming to you. What you do with it after it gets to you shouldn't really matter that much.

System-generated emails that I actually need, that get stuck in my spam filter.
