I was pleasantly surprised by the beer sale experience

I, like many others, did not have much faith in Aramark handling the beer sales. But I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to buy beer and the beer was cold even in the 3rd quarter.

I left my seat in the 2nd quarter to buy beer expecting a long wait. Not only was there no line but I was able to buy as much beer as I could carry back to my seat. I went back in the 3rd quarter and it was the same thing....no line and the beer was still cold.

I have to give Aramark props for the first game. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes.

The signs explicitly say only two beers per person are sold at a time.

I didn’t plan on buying a beer but I did at the half. It was very nice drinking a beer in Death Valley

Do people really pay attention to those?

If they don't, then the SEC will step in and prohibit LSU from selling.

I was also happy with the sales. I got my beer, my wife wanted water and they had that, and peanuts were right there for the plucking also. I was glad that I didn't need to get into 2 different lines.

Agreed. They were also being ran buy good looking girls who look like they may have some experience and not some kids or people bussed in from Nola to make a few dollars.

They probably realized if they frick up the sale of beers they will officially be done

It’s onky game 1, I have faith they’ll find a way to screw it up

baton rouge has plenty of that caliber of employee, no need to bus them in from Nola

Negative, my Michelob Ultra was $9, surely at that price, they’re paying their employees a good wage to pop the top and pour into a cup. If not, that’s between them and employer because they’re selling at a significant profit.

I did not. Because it was $9 and all she did was grab a pre-poured beer for me.

But my mother-in-law did because the girl carded her (she’s 62) and it made her laugh.

I told her afterwards it was just policy.

I agree.
We need more of a selection though. I’m not a fan of anything they sold but it was cold and I like to drink .

I’d really like to see some Abita beers available at some point

As a 22 year old, trying to buy a beer before the game started, some lady that appeared to be in training turned down my state ID and said since its vertical, she could not accept it. They only sold me beer cause they "make exceptions for DOD IDs" and could sell me a beer since i had that.....

That initially soured my experience a bit, but having a beer in tiger stadium was amazingly nice.
