Trade insider's say Trump is hurting the chances for a trade deal with China

But trade insiders say Trump’s shoot-from-the-hip style has left officials working around decisions made quickly without regard for whether they'll make it harder to reach a deal with China. “I think the president’s actions and words are making it increasingly difficult for a deal to come together,” said Wendy Cutler, a former senior U.S. trade negotiator who is now vice president of the Asia Society Policy Institute. “He’s undermining the credibility of his negotiators,” she added. One former U.S. trade negotiator who spoke on condition of anonymity said Trump deserved credit for his decision in 2018 to impose tariffs on an initial $50 billion worth of Chinese goods. That provided U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer far more leverage to address U.S. concerns about China’s unfair trade and intellectual property practices than previous U.S. negotiators have had. But since then, Trump has “consistently undermined” his negotiators with his hardball tactics and contradictory statements, the former U.S. official said.
These "insiders and experts" are also former Obama administration officials so of course they would say that. Trump may or may not be helping or hurting trade negotiations with China, but as an American I prefer a President with shoot from the hip style of negotiating to the bend over and take it without lube style of negotiating that these Obama administration officials used.

Aww orange man might hurt the Chinese delegation's feelings.
We wouldn't want to offend the country that's been raping us for 40 years would we?
This is how you put China in their place!!

FIFY--they had a deal Navarro torpedoed.
Navarro---the leftist democrat that lost 5 elections and calls himself an economist--does not want the trade war to end. He is getting more publicity and selling more books that ever. Previously he considered a clown by many.

No they are not. They are Obama administration officials that now work as lobbyists for China, but you are too stupid to figure that out.

We have had an outline from the beginning, its just easier to say Trump shoots from the hip. He is just putting increasing pressure in the form of higher tariffs the longer this drags out.
And IB your hatred for Navarro and Ross are really to the extreme end of the spectrum, drink a beer or two and chill.

I don’t trust any of these Swamp Skunks. Hell, we have an ex Fed Reserve official from NY calling for the Fed to undermine Trump’s efforts to bring China to heel in this trade war.

frick china, we should do an embargo on their asses anyways. treat em like cuba and watch them fall.

Normally I would call them imbeciles but they’re just lying assholes. Everybody knows Chinese from a cultural standpoint do not do deals. If an agreement does not help China and Hirt the other party China doesn’t do it. The Chinese don’t believe in deals that help both sides. It’s a cultural thing. The president luckily gets it
