The catch and fumble gets me. That was the second or third game over, but the most convincing. That guy caught the ball, turned around, took at least 2 steps, gets hit, loses the ball. That's a fumble everyday. Didn't even get reviewed. For this bozo zebra to say the refs did a great job is nothing short of an atrocious PR campaign.

The fact that the SEC offices had a fricking statement ready to go not even an hour after that game tells you they knew they fricked up.

Most of the calls people were originally pissed about were actually the right calls. Fine. The "no catch & fumble" and the Greed PI were the 2 most egregious. That fumble ends the game so yeah, it was kind of big deal.

This is the one, other than the PI, that pops into my head immediately when someone mentions this game. That’s a catch and fumble any other day.

I am in 100% agreement with this. there were a lot of close calls, but this one didn't even get reviewed and it was a catch and fumble.

hell, the knee down to end the game in regulation could've gone either way. he didn't clearly have possession when his knee hit. still, it was so close it's a judgment call. but not the catch and fumble.

The telltale sign is the announcers calling it a fumble in live action when it happened and then reviewing it from 20 different angles and still saying they thought it was a fumble.
