do they just let you walk out the door with your spec sheet or is there some type of charge for the fitting?

I had a gift certificate, but I saw their pricing and an iron fitting is $150. I got fitted, they printed out my specs with the pricing, and I walked out. FTR, they priced a 4-PW set of TM P790's at $2000. That included irons, shaft upgrade, and puring. I'm taking the sheet to someone else and ordering from them, minus the puring.

They charge you for the fitting.

I got fitted there a few years ago in Houston. Really thorough and great experience. They’re not pushy either if you don’t want to buy the stuff from them. It’s really your choice that they leave up to you.

Agree with all of this. The fitting was a great experience. The club prices were not.

From what I've read, basically they find the part of the shaft that is the most stable and orient that part facing the target when they insert it into the clubhead. I play 2-3 times a month if I'm lucky, just wanted to upgrade from my Callaway X-16's that I've had for over 10 years. Don't think I need my shafts pured, seems like overkill.

You can get a Ping 410 driver with a Tensi Orange shaft for 499.00, I guarantee that there is no better shaft out there. If your club head speed us over 115 then get the Tensi White.

I play a Cally Epic Flash with a Tendi Orange and it is a bomber, 599.00

Years ago as a 3hcp, I hit the Matrix Ozik TP-7 ($1000.00) on a Trackman and a $100.00 Grafalloy Tour Black shaft performed better.

Club Champion is ridiculous.

Those are made for shafts, not the real deal. The real Pro orange is a good shaft but the made for is trash.

Wrong, the Tensi Orange in the Ping is the real deal and the Tensi Orange in my Epic Flash came off a tour van.

Both are CK models. You can request a CK model from Cally instead of the AV model.

You can also order the Rouge 130 MSI from both companies as well.

Just because it’s the CK doesn’t mean it’s the Pro as he was stating unless it has the boron tip and etc.

I know that mine is since it is off the Van .

And the CK Orange X shaft in the Ping is strong enough for 99.9 % of all golfers.

Titleist was the worst for "The Made for Shafts"

I saw in a forum where Mitsubishi stated one way to tell the difference in Pro/non Pro was if the "K" in the CK is the color of the model of the shaft. Therefore the real Pro orange would have an orange K.

A steel iron shaft has a seam and it isn’t easy to find. You can put it in a tube with some bearings in it and rotate it and actually feel it. I’m not a club fitter but I have all the stuff at my house to do most of it. The weird spot on the shaft is actually a real thing that you can feel. All that said, I have no idea how that affects the club or shot but that consistency is better than not having it.

You can go on GolfWrx and see the comparison between the Tensi shafts and the Tensi Pro..

The Pro has more Boron in the tip and an extra wrap of Kelar in the butt.

Pro has lower launch and even lower spin...

In other words, you better have some real clubhead speed to hit a Tensi Pro White.

I currently play a callaway rogue sub zero 3wood with pro white 80TX and don't find it as harsh as its said to be. I have not had issues elevating it off the deck either.

I have been fitted by outstanding club PGA professionals and factory reps. There is NO guarantee that the clubs for which you are fitted will come in under the same specs as the ones you may have demoed on a driving range.

And THAT is what is different about Club Champion. Whatever loft, lie, length, swing weight, etc.... that you find to your liking, will be exactly what you get. That is not always the case with what is ordered from Demo Day or another course fitting.

And the Pured shafts are outstanding. The reality on irons is you spend about $90 - $100 more per club from Club Champion, and that includes the Pured shafts.

A minor investment in your game IMHO.

What about when they fit you into a TMAG driver and none of their CGs match?

Haven't heard of that happening.

There is over a dozen guys in our travel squad that have gone to CC and every one of them has benefited in a big way.
