We also plan on adding a railing for the balcony to make it a bit safer. That was the idea with the balcony - rather than go straight from the ladder into the box you can go onto the balcony and walk into it.

I will add that the deer view windows are awesome. The front and back are 4’, the sides are 1’ for the side with the door, and 2’ for the side without.

Last things to do - corkscrew into the ground with a steel cable and turnbuckle to anchor to ground and add hook on one leg for a large propane tank. We’ll then run a hose inside to a heater that should have enough gas for multiple seasons. It’s gonna be a 5* hotel up in there.

My uncle did that. He'd bring those Jimmy Dean frozen sausage and biscuits up there and cook 'em on a single gas burner up there When he wasn't cooking, he was running the burner to keep it warm in there.

I could have bought that stand from him for $500, but didn't. Wished I would have now. His legs were made from drill stem, and he had an angled ladder with handrails welded up that led up to the box. It was also insulated with custom glass windows on all four sides. The inside was 6x6x7. It was a Taj Mahal of deer stands.

Damnit, I regret not buying that thing we he got out of deer hunting.
