At half time at the CHARGERS game they played a tasteless video about the no call where their fans (trash) mocked the team

Well, LA is full of fruits and nuts. Just tell em to stay classy and don't step in any human feces on the way out of the stadium

The NFL front office knows that there is no real reason to clean up the game by improving the consistency of the rules interpretations. When a team gets screwed out of a Superbowl appearance, fans of 31 teams think it's funny and fans of only one team are upset.

There is NO reason for the NFL to clean up its act. None whatsoever, and, this is the main reason why I no longer find the NFL's product very interesting. It's a show, a crapshoot and it's entertainment. It's not an authentic competitive sport, IMHO.

The missed tackle in Minny was the direct result of the Defender being uncertain of exactly how the Game Officials were going to Rule on the play if he had so much as touched the Receiver.

The NFL has been Officiating games for 100 years ONE CENTURY. Not one player or NFL official is alive today who were on the field 100 years ago for that first game.

It is ASTOUNDING that this League has yet to find a way to apply its own rules consistently. Astoundingly incompetent? Or perhaps a signal that such a thing is not important to them?

As long as Roger Goodell is there, the NFL will do what it can to turn the New Orleans Saint back into the Fumbling, Bumbling Lovable Losers of Yore.

Of course, if the franchise moves to another, larger market with a shiny new stadium, the narrative will change.

Let's face it, the New Orleans Saints have rejected the desires of the League to build a shiny new stadium and that disobedience will not go unpunished.

This is literally the NFL's stance. Lawyers for the NFL have argued in court that what they offer is an entertainment product and not a competitive sporting league.

All professional sport leagues are entertainment products for profit first and foremost. Always have been. That is the essence of PROFESSIONAL sports.

This should not be some big surprise.

It hasnt been since the AFL/NFL merger. TV changed the whole game and even more so today. Its a reality TV show for men. Nothing more. I believe all pro sports on TV are though.

I actually never knew this. Maybe they should be forced to call themselves the NFE - National Football Entertainment - then since that is what they think of themselves. Maybe we've all be had from false advertisement.
