Just call back a week later and speak to someone else and say you need a new replacement, AFTER, the change of deductibles take place.

Well, the other option was lie and say it happened last week and it would've only cost him $100
Hence the racket
Committing fraud doesn't make it a racket.

Except for the fact that his premium now reflects the cost of the lower deductible which is how insurance works.
If someone is a cheap arse and doesn’t carry roadside assistance or rental coverage, I can’t add the shite on AFTER the claim occurred for it to cover said claim.

Yea that won’t work.

Why on earth would you want a $100 deductible?
that's what you pay out of pocket if you have a comprehensive or collision claim. The higher your deductible the less you insurance would be, but you're coming out of pocket more.

I can't understand how Louisiana car insurance is so expensive. I've had my vehicles insured in Florida, Virginia, Washington, and now Louisiana. Louisiana is more than double what I paid previously. It's robbery.
Car insurance rates by state
Louisiana is only beat by Michigan when it comes to high rates.

Lots of uninsured drivers and a high jury trial threshold, and Gordon.

That's what I'm going to do. The whole reason I didn't get it changed before now was because they were gonna charge me $500 to do it. They have no way to prove that I went and changed it myself, got hit with another rock last week, and want to file a new claim next week.

“Car insurance is a racket”
Proceeds to attempt insurance fraud.

That’s not a racket. That’s exactly how that is supposed to work. Stop being that way.
Don’t get mad at them because you were ignorant enough to tell them the damage occurred when you had less coverage.

Tell her to send you the portion of your policy that dictates it's actually that way.

Not going to work.
Let's tell the truth about what really happened here. You got a crack in your windshield and realized it was going to cost you $500 out of pocket. You tried to pull a fast one by changing coverages and and then making the claim, but showed your stupidity by reporting the claim back when you had a $500 deductible. How am I doing so far?

You think every auto policy doesn't explicitly state that coverages are provided based on what's in force at the time of the claim?? Where the frick do you people come from?

He's not asking what a deductible is. He is asking why the hell someone would pay a likely very high premium for such a low deductible

You're right, I'm sure as hell not paying $500 for a windshield. How are they gonna know I didn't get it changed out and caught another rock between dropping the previous claim and filing a new one?

I hope your agent reads the OT.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze, but you don't sound like you've got much going for you anyway.

because you already filed the claim and you didn't provide any proof that you repaired the vehicle. If you think filing another claim for the same windshield is a smart move, you can't be helped. You're saying insurance is a racket yet you're blatantly committing insurance fraud
The sad thing is you have people in here agreeing with you.

But I thought trial attorneys like Gordon Mckernan were the problem??? Surely this is because of him!!
