I actually know a pretty decent number of GSU alums here in Jacksonville, including my brother-in-law, so I’ve always pulled for y’all. It was awesome/incredible/hilarious when y’all beat the Turds in Gainesville. Here’s hoping y’all go on to have another great season after a 0-1 start.

Yes but they are not as bad as they are in southern GA. You won't have to worry about them at the tailgate or game. The gnats in LA can get just as bad as southern GA but it's usually at locations closer to the marsh or more rural locations.

With respect to Tabasco, that was my mistake. I dually apologize and will sit out for 30 seconds to feel shame.
But then I realized you can't even spell "go" correctly. So game on!

Not bad as many other states, but mosquitoes are worse.
Yes. But there are surely some businesses that have popped-up for tourist to be able to get a taste of gator hunting.

I fricking love passionate fans of smaller programs (excluding USL).
Walk around, be talkative, take “frick yous” in stride - although they should be much rarer than Bama, Ole Miss, etc. - and end every sentence with “this is my first time in Baton Rouge, just excited to be here for the legendary atmosphere, we’re having a great time” or something like that. We’re a race of people that is extremely vulnerable to flattery and disarmed by amiability. Drop hints about wanting to experience the unique cuisine and people will stuff you full of liquor & food.
Don’t miss the band marching down the hill. Try to catch their warmups (still by the Pentagon?) if you can. Don’t miss Callin’ Baton Rouge & Louisiana Saturday Night 30 minutes before kickoff.

Don't over do it. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Especially with a night game

North of I-10/I-12 east of Baton Rouge and north of I-10 west of Baton Rouge, yes. They have sweet tea.
South of I-10 and I-12, no sweet tea until you get into Mississippi.
Seriously, that's how it trends in restaurants.

you will need to wear a respirator to avoid inhaling about a hundred love bugs with each breath, and you will have to keep uncloggong it about every thirty minutes

* Grab lunch at the Chimes or Walk-ons.
* If you're into gambling, the Lauberge is a pretty nice one on the river.
* Other bars/restaurants worth noting: Parrains, Jubans, The Bulldog, Tio Javis...
* General areas with more bars/restaurants: The overpass @ Perkins, downtown 3rd street.

This times 10. I wouldn’t worry about bringing food - in fact, worry about eating and drinking so much that you can’t make it to the game.
Except for maybe the occasional d-bag, you will be treated very well. It’s the first game so everyone will in a good mood. Thanks for spending your $$ and time in BR.

We're passionate and while we can dish it out, we can definitely take it too. We've been in some pretty hostile places, thUGA being the absolute worst, but we really enjoy going to the big schools like bammer, WVU, NC State, UF, etc. It's a lot of fun visiting these places and meeting the fans, of course it's even more fun when we pull the upset.

Forget the gnats. Watch out for Cast Boy.
