It points out that we were scared to turn the ball over and didn't take chances and were super conservative in our play calling,

Think our lack of a running game hurt.
i'd say it should be the opposite. If there's not much of a running game, a team has to fling it all over the field to try to get yardage. Thus, less conservative play calling.

If you’re religious I’ll eat my IPAD. I’ll also eat my IPAD if you’re not related to Joe.

That's a nice stat. But you have to strike a balance between taking care of the ball and scoring tds.

Perfect response to a stat like this. Well said, my man.

I don't think we did. We just had a terrible completion pctg in the red zone.

You’re a moron, that list was LAST UPDATED JANUARY 2011. LSU threw FIVE interceptions in 2011, so you’re either stupid, a liar, or both.

It's a good thing that stat was that low considering LSU went four games through the heart of the schedule without a passing touchdown.

Redzone/scoring was more of a symptom of inexperienced WRs, injured O-Line, QB with minimal team reps, etc.

Wow DamnedOne. More bitchy than normal this morning. I googled 2011 stats, and that came up.
But sky-scream away, if it make ya feel better.

It’s impressive considering joe threw the ball more than most QBs that have played here.
Yeah, people are discounting it for some reason but Joe threw almost 400 passes and wasn't handcuffed like most QB's we've had over the past 12 years or so, Mett being the lone exception. He was slinging it.
RZ needs a lot of work but I expect improvement there this season.

For sure
Joe is a MUCH better QB than we’ve had.
Les limited the # of picks thrown by limiting the # of passes thrown

That is a different issue and not directly related to the topic of the post.
Specific to this - would it make you feel better if he was farther down on the list?

In 2011, LSU threw the ball 278 times, and had 5 picks.
In 2018, LSU threw the ball 387 times, and had 5 picks.

I mean I feel Almost silly having to say Burrow > JL and JJ

I think JJ and Burrow both did well for what they were asked to do.

Etling threw 2 Interceptions in 2017.
275 attempts - 2 INTs
No Power-5 QB matched that low ratio in 2018 (250 or more attempts)

Sans Murray and Fromm that's not a great group of QBs to be paired with
Really? I mean, that list has current or soon-to-be NFL roster QBs up and down it. I'm not saying they're all day 1 starters, but even being a backup QB in the NFL puts you in a ridiculously tiny percentage of humans on earth capable of doing what you do. Seems like a pretty solid list of QBs to be paired with to me.
