quote:Hulu Live TV no adds already covers sports and local TV for $50 plus all Hulu content and DVR.
This is a game changer for Cord Cutters wanting sports.
I will have to see how this launches.

What sports does Hulu Live cover?

Ad free Hulu is like $7 more a month than the regular version.
Why not just pay the extra $7 and be done with it?

This bundle is going to be $34.99 per month within two years.

Why would this kill netlfix? Netflix has seen this coming and there is a reason they are putting out a shite ton of original content. Tons of television shows and some movies. I’m not giving up Netflix if it means I can’t watch shows like Stranger Things, OA, Orange Is the New Black, etc.

Haven't been able to do commercials since early 2000's with Tivo.
It's almost impossible to go back to ads.
Youtube ads are a big enough pain and they're just one.
Hulu has ads after ads. I was with their free version since the beginning and it just became a pain the arse.
The only thing we should have to compromise on is live sporting events.

I like it. Try it out. I imagine they have a good trial deal out now before football season starts.

No. You get some UFC cards and soccer matches and that’s pretty much it
They've slowly been migrating some college football from the G5s to ESPN+ as well. It probably won't be long before they start putting at least one SEC and ACC game a week on there each weekend too.

Getting to the point where there are too many streaming services. Not going to subscribe to all of them.
Will cost more than cable soon.

If you like to watch soccer, ESPN+ is becoming borderline mandatory. Many relatively important matches are migrating there and don't show any signs of slowing.
what soccer? crappy Italian league games?
the premier league is on NBC
Eventually, the old way of watching television will go away. There is no need to have TNT, TBS, USA, Food Network, Bravo, etc. They only thing from those channels, other than live sports, that needs to continue is their original programming, and that needs to get absorbed by some streaming service. If you want to watch reruns of movies or tv shows, get netflix or hulu.
The only thing that anyone should be watching live is sports and news from the channels that aren't OTA. Everything else should be streaming content to watch when you want, or when it's released.
No one wants to watch commercials anymore. Netflix has been operating without them for quite some time and doing just fine.

For sports you would have to get the Hulu live for $45 a month and just pickup Disney+. So about $50 a month. Still way less than cable or satellite. I’m just going to drop Netflix for awhile and binge watch Disney+ and then pickup Netflix and binge watch it. Will do the same for any other platforms when they begin to have more content.

I have Netflix for random streaming, WWE Network for their on-demand PPV/weekly show library, and Hulu w/Live TV for news/sports.
I will likely buy Disney+ when it comes out, but CBS All Access, HBO whatever, and NBC's streaming service can go die in a fire.

You're not supposed to.

What do you mean it doesn't work? I've used it for 2 years now frequently and never have issues with it.

Does Hulu Live have the networks or do you use an antennae for those?

My mistake, for some reason I thought ESPN+ had all the stations via an app login. I must be thinking of ESPN3.
