He's got his own version of the Jefferson Bible where he cuts out all the verses he doesn't like.

quote:No, that's not they to whom the passage is referring. It says it in that very chapter. You aren't interested in that part, though.
The sexually immoral
You really oughtta know what you're talking about before quoting the Bible. Considering how long you've been interested in the Bible--and specifically this passage--it's very shameful that you wouldn't know the answer to this question right off the top of your head. You are judged.

To your point, there are very few good Christians. I’m not one and I don’t claim that. If I ran for elected office and made that claim, I’d expect to be slammed.

According to OP if you act on your feelings you have violated Scripture and are not a good and faithful Catholic.
Don't you find that kind of mindset even the slightest bit offensive?

I find being compared to a Catholic probably worse. I personally feel a relationship with Jesus and GOD is a personal relationship and I don't need a church to rubber stamp my relationship.

I'm quiet familiar that some heritcs take one verse of scripture where David speaks of Jonathan and try to make it into something it isn't. You apparently love heritical teachings

Here's the entire passage talking about sin and rebellion against God from Romans 1. It's pretty clear that it's talking about those who are unrighteous. Regardless of who, exactly, it's talking about, you can't ignore the words used to describe homosexuality:
"dishonorable passions"; "exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature"; "gave up natural relations with women"; "committing shameless acts with men"; and "their error". Nothing positive in that section.
"dishonorable passions"; "exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature"; "gave up natural relations with women"; "committing shameless acts with men"; and "their error". Nothing positive in that section.
quote:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

So when does Jesus say what old Jewish laws specifically are done and which ones y’all are gonna carry forward?

According to the Bible. My opinion has nothing to do with it.
Again, if any poster can show me a scripture from the Old or New Testament that promotes homosexuality, I'll apologize.

What about the one where divorce and pre-marital sex are bad? There are plenty of things to not like about him, but is being gay one of them? Especially if the Republican party claims to be party of inclusion?

I’d tell you to google Log Cabin Republicans and address your blaring ignorance!
