Yes they could. The sec hate is real. The narrative of 9 straight losses vs bama would take root. The Oklahoma AD & UF AD that’s on the committee would push the agenda that LSU can’t beat Bama so no point in seeing them play again. Because if there was a chance that LSU made the final 4 they would make sure we saw bama in the semis to avoid another all Sec title game imo. I’m not saying there’s no chance but imo it’s very small.

I’m an LSU fan. Bama is an obstacle for an SEC title not a national championship. Getting blown out again wouldn’t look good, but you can lose a close one and its not an end all. Maybe emotionally at first for LSU fans but we would quickly feel better if they ended up in the CFP with a loss to bama. I don’t see how any sane person would be too upset if they made the CFP but lost to bama.

Working here in Alabama.. I too would like to beat the tide and cause nick Saban to break many headsets that night.
I would like to add that living close to Clemson University I would also like to stomp a mud hole into them and avenge the 2012 peach bowl.

I too, would like to see LSU’s tackle football team beat Alabama’s tackle football team.

You must not actually watch CFB if you think LSU can’t only lose to bama, not go to the sec champ game and still make the playoffs. Bama literally just did that in 2017.

I want LSU to dominate Bama, I want to see a silent stadium of crying frat boys. I want to see a camera shot of the Bama bench with players sitting with that blank stare of not knowing what the hell just happened to them. I want to see that little head coach jumping up and down so pissed off the veins in his head popping out like never before.
Of course I would be happy with a 1 point win in the final seconds of the game, so yeah I want to beat Alabama !!!!!!
