I love seeing Zion at the Saints training camp and the interaction between him and the Saints and specifically Drew Brees. With the Saints being the big ticket in this city it goes a long way for our Pels star to create a bond with the Saints players. I think it will have a carry over effect for Saints fans that may not have been big Pels fans. Its great to see Zion meshing with this city this way so early. I don’t remember AD getting involved / making an effort outside of basketball like Zion is. Really goes to show you the difference in their personalities. I was really down when AD demanded a trade. But, could have never dreamed the outcome would have been so great for the Pels and the city. Very encouraging for the future of this organization.

Zion is doing a great job embracing the city and organization. If we want him to develop fully and stay in town for 20 years the front office can not botch this.

The interaction is fantastic. I'm glad Zion is comfortable with it because it's no secret the Saints rule the city right now. No need to pretend like its not the case. Embrace it and he is. I remember AD doing a autograph signing at the Dome before one of the games and he may have gone to 1 or 2 games in his first few years. But after that he wanted nothing to do with the Saints or the city to be frank. Zion is a breath of fresh air

I was more impressed by the interaction between the Saints and the Pels. 2 years ago we got a clip of Rondo doing a challenge with Brees and that was it. This year we got a clip of other Saints players besides Drew Brees playing basketball like Taysom Hill and Kamara. Both sides really seem to be embracing each other even more than before.

It’s great. All the bandwagon Saints “fans” will now become bandwagon Pelican “fans”. I don’t mind because it helps the team but where were those fricks last year?

Maybe, maybe not.

This is going to happen anyway. This year's team is going to be so much fun, with SCTopTen moments every single game. In two years, they'll be contenders. And Zion and others are great personalities and are going to bring lots of positive attention.

The Saints and Pelicans really aren't in competition. People can be fans of both. The Pels problem hasn't been the Saints.

Zion's done all the right stuff but we can't pretend that showing up at his training facility and walking a few hundred feet over to the Saints facility means one way or the other that he cares about the larger community. Maybe he does, but let's at least wait for the basketball camps, community events, etc. Again, I'm not knocking Zion, just the overreactions.

The real credit should go to the PR staff for putting the opportunities together. Credit Zion and Drew for playing along, they both are great for putting in extra time to do this stuff for fans.

Was that confirmation that he’s getting a signature shoe? I don’t think I’ve heard that it was confirmed, but Drew seemed to believe.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zion were to lead the Who Dat chant at the Monday Night Football home opener.
