FJ40s are considered landcruisers. You are thinking of the late 2000s to early 2010s FJ cruisers.

Those FJ’s are amazing. We had two 1978 models on site in a very remote village of Costa Rica. They were not restored and ran like a dream. You could literally drive it anywhere.

Jeeps, Suzuki’s and Land Cruisers are what you make of them. Customize them with lifts, tires, and snorkels and any of the three easily matriculate through that creek. Going through full blast like they did probably pushed water through the intake and hydrolocked it. I learned the hard way as well.
